Start Kaepernick, Hunter, Boone, Kilgore in place of Goodwin or Snyder and move Konrad Reuland up from the PS. I'm not saying this just to prevent injuries for the first team offense, but this would be a real good time to see what our back ups got against some real competition.

Well if our offense was running real good I would definatly agree with you but they arnt, I just dont think Alex needs 3 weeks off. He needs the reps still to keep sharp.

Well even if Smith gets the reps or plays in the Rams game, our style of offense is not going to change over-night.

Very true, wasnt really looking for change I just think Alex needs the reps. I am afraid without them he might laspe with so much time off. I am not against letting Kap or others play certainly would benefit him and others. Half a dozen to another I guess.

This is another reason I think the bye might not be a good thing for our team. They seem to do better when they're on their feet, staying hungry.

According to the numbers alone, per the NBC article, if we drop to the 3rd seed and not have a first round bye, the chances of making the superbowl drop from 29% to 11%.
Obviously football doesn't strictly follow the statistical predictions, but I do like the fact that the 2 seed has to win one home game to get into the NFC Championship game while the 3 seed has to win two games with one being on the road to get there. Also the extra game drastically increases the chances for injuries to key players for the playoff run.

I've gotten the feeling all season that Alex has been held back, and there are many good reasons for that, but I'd like to see this offense go out, without any worries or concerns other than piling up points. Alex has often done well in that type of scenario so I'd like to see what they can put together as a warm-up for the playoffs and then in the 2nd half, let Kaepernick have his turn to show what he can do.
I'm kind of freaking out right now, it's the last game of the season and I'm not depressed by the thought that this last game could be completely meaningless as for once there's playoff games in the future. Its been awhile.
they wont so put a hold on the dream.

i think they should play to win. even though it doesnt matter, i still dont want to lose to the rams. play most of the starter the first half.

Falcons already claimed the wildcard so would they still go all out to beat the Saints?

No, I don't believe they have clinched yet. However, it is very unlikely they wont clinch, but still, they haven't yet. And plus, they dont want to go to NO/SF in the first round anyway. They have plenty to play for.

They still have the chance to win the NFC South division by winning today's game and the Saints dropping another against the Panthers next week.
Edit: forgot to say that the Falcons have to win next week's game as well.
