Those were the s**ts. But now we finally have a smarter and better coach than them. As good as the Packers are, they make more mistakes than we do.

we totally got jobbed on the '96 MNF game...beebe was f'n down by contact and the 02 regular season phantom PI calls all game and farve was over the line of scrimmage on one pass and they didn't call it.

THIS! DAMN YOU DON BEBE!

We all know what is likely to come. The undefeated Packers host the 49ers in the NFC championship game. That is the best matchup this season can provide at this point; better than any possible Super Bowl matchup. What do you think will happen and who do think will win?

Even though I've had faith in the Niners to make the playoffs all year, they have really impressed me (the D in particular), but after seeing how good the Packers were performing, I have been looking at them as our primary obstacle since a few weeks into the season. After the first few wins, I couldn't help but recall what brought me to hate the Packers; losing to them in multiple NFC championship games. (I'll throw in here that my roommate, who thinks he has visions and s**t, told me before the regular season started that he dreamt of the Niners, and Alex in particular, making it to, but losing in, the NFC championship game.) I think we win.

How do you see the matchup? What will be the deciding factor? How does it play out? Who wins?

It's quite simple: it will take our best effort of the season and the packers must not play to their full potential than we have a chance. I dont think the weather will be a factor. Remember it's their home up there they are quite use to it.

total jinx threads, I agree
If the Niners end up in the NFC championship game, either @GB or in SF vs NO (if current seeding remains the same), they better pray for horrible weather. I don't think the Niners D can hang with either offense. The Packers would kill the Niners with their 2nd and 3rd options. Rogers could slow up Jennings well enough, but Brown and whoever the 3rd CB is that week (seems like it changes every other week) would get smoked by Driver, Nelson, and Jones.

The Saints would present the same problems. The only difference is the game would be played in SF (if current seeding remains the same) and that gives the Niners a little better chance. Still, playing in front of the home crowd wouldn't help Brown, Brock and Culliver against Moore, Henderson, and Meachem.

The only way I see the Niners winning either of those games is if the weather turns to crap and slows down the passing game. That and/or the Niners D knocking Rodgers/Brees out of the game early.

We could be in those games. We just need Braylon back and healthy and then we can score better in the redzone.
This is really bad luck stuff..kill this thread

We have 4 damn more games to go, the Saints are breathing down our necks, the Hawks and Steelers are playing very good ball right now and the Tards D has bumped their game up significantly..One of the best Red Zone D right now, and guess who is next to LAST in the NFL on Red Zone scoring, right, our Niners.

The next 4 games are not a walk in the park, and playing in New Orleans is a possibility, and a sh!ty one at that..

Put a cork in in it... .
