Personally, I wouldn't hate it if the Niners went full rebuild.
No extension for kittle. Dont pay purdy. Trade Bosa. If your gonna trust lynch and Shannahan to try this again fine, but if theee is any questions about either of them then they fire them and we start completly over. Do this right or don't do it at all.

A full rebuild, in all likelihood, gets Williams, Purdy, CMC, Bosa and Warner traded. Wake me up when that happens.

correct.

this is not a rebuild.

folks are getting hyperbolic.
I said it was trouble when Dr. John York went to the facility. Since then they unloaded a huge part of the team. FA's and even trades. Almost all of the ones who would be available have left. High salaries scraped off the books. Did little to nothing in FA. John York is blowing it up again. Every so often he does that. It's part of his cycle. When he gets frustrated with the high salaries. Make no mistake John and Denise still control a huge amount of the checkbook. Jed may run some day to day stuff. But you don't just hand over a muti billion dollar team to a kid. The parents are involved in the money. But seem to have little interest in football or day to day operations. That's what Jed is for. But when he gets frustrated about the money spent big cuts happen. We have seen this before multiple times. It's totally predictable by now and just part of Dr. John York.

So far I dont see the cuts to be money related other than maybe Ward. All the players that have left I would agree need to be released based on performance. Even Dre is a tough one with his injuries. Next is BA. You cant re stock in FA so the draft it is. Based on salaries being paid out I dont really see anyone in FA as someone we had to have.

Most of the big FA guys we didn't pursue at all. Our own and others. One big name we traded away. So we are definitely unloading salaries and payroll. Very much on purpose and financial is part of it IMO.

Lol. Jed is 45.

They got old, injury prone and expensive. That's not where you want to be, ending up like the new Saints so it makes all the sense in the world to drop some bad contracts, stop overpaying for average players and focus on getting younger and faster while building up some financial flexibility.

Tell me one guy that left for FA who left that significant and positively contributed to last years team.

His parents control the checkbook. In particular Dr. John York. When he visits the facility the hammer comes down and cuts happen. We have seen for a quarter century now. They had the team 24 and going to be 25 years now. It's always the same pattern and always him. Always about saving money too. It's very predictable now. Plan on getting a lot worse before it gets better. Yeah it can get better. But you are looking at 3, 5, 7 years. It's not going to be next year. We have too much to replace in 1 year. No way you can fix this many holes in 1 offseason. Especially how we draft. With so many misses.

so when we are winning, are you going to flip flop like you always do ?

I'm always in the dislike and very skeptical of the Yorks category. That doesn't change.

Sometimes I like and support some players that I like.

But I know what the Yorks are. I have always known. They don't fool me.

You actually don't know.. saying this is making you look like a fool though
I can't say I'm a fan of what's going on right now.

I said last off season that a good amount of these starters will be gone. AA was the first, Lenoir or Ward would be gone, Mitchell, Huff, Banks.

I figured we would at least keep Greenlaw. Deebo I figured would be gone two years ago. Juice thought the same thing, but not like this when we already cut/traded so many guys. Now they let go of Floyd and they didn't even get a replacement??

SB is at Levis, we have an easy schedule, and now is the time Jed decides to save money? Come the f**k on... Could've waited one more f**king year at least.

I read elsewhere that This is a 2 year plan. Lynch and Shanny know that can't win it all this year with the same aging guys. They need to swing with youth and with next years draft hope they piece together a winner. If they go 3 years losing then they're going to be fired. So a short rebuild.
