Harbaugh conceded a point to Grant Cohn in the presser today. That tells you something about Sunday's game.

Please tell me this is not the first time anyone on that staff is noticing!
I'm sure the staff notices. Cohn has a point, but I'm not surprised Harbaugh won't discuss X's and O's with him. Would you expect him to?

Kap has regressed. He doesn't trust his wrs for god knows why?? He doesn't anticpate the pass rush and when the ball should be thrown he holds onto it too long and takes unnessessary sacks. He has the physical tools to EXCEL!! I KNOW!! We've seen it. Its just teams & defenses are figuring him out and Coach Screamer & Roman have FAILED miserably to adjust to how defenses are defending the 49ers simple offense.

It's like Kaep does not practice throwing to anyone but Boldin.

This is by far the best article Lowell Cohn has written. It's a truthful take on the 49ers predicament.

He's 80% right. but.....Kaep also deserves some blame for holding onto the ball too long. And Kaeps fault is NOT trusting other recievers other then VD and Quan. Now I know Ronald McDonald dropped that sweet Long Gainer and also KW is a Crub, but you still have to throw to these dudes to make sure defenses have to defend the entire field. And Kap has failed miserably finding 3rd and 4th options. Also Pass Protection has been poopy lately vs Carolina.

Not messing with the vet that originally posted, but it is a little funny how most on one hand said they wouldnt even waste time reading a Cohn article. Then when he puts this out, and it pretty much is saying, dont blame kaep, now its a pretty good article.

I have to say i read all articles, Cohn, and whomever else, and the only thing i agreed with was this, With Alex, Harbaugh played what he called "small ball, and it worked". I dont like that reference, but thats what he said in the article so i just restated. With Kaep he's trying to play home run ball,, and at the end of that Cohn should of said, it's not working.
Main quote I could of tore up in his article, Kaep is still a young QB who's still learning. Now ok that may be the case granted, but after last season, it didnt seem like Harb and Co, thought that he'd still be going thru growing pains.
I discussed this with Marvin, and some others agreed with me. Whats all this still young, not ready now mess people are trying to throw at us. If he wasnt ready to take the reigns, they why is he behind center if he has soo much to still learn. Like all of us, with the second half of the season last year, and almost winning the SB for us, I expected to have more GB games from him.
Also, i know that no one said this so im just curious..... anyone thinks, that lack of reps in pre-season would of helped overcome all this. I mean didnt he only play for a few quarters out of all 4 games. I only say that cuz i remember many of us upset when he'd get in for a series, not drive the ball, then Harbs took him out.

turns out Kaep was a Huge project that could take a couple more years but then howcome he took the league by storm the 2nd half of last season? I think 80% coaching/playcalling and 20% growing pains.

If the rush makes you bail it doesnt matter if the guy back across the field finally came open and most importantly if the play is designed with only one or two reads and the others are decoys with no intent of getting open....looking to them means less than nothing. Like Cohn said...this is a guy I dont often agree with mind you, this is Jimmy Raye crap out there.

Kap looked bad for sure, and especially some of the bad throws were on him....but he is being set up to fail by the game plan, lack of protection and absurd lack of adjustment in the face of failure. Beyond that when he does do something great like a long pass or a great escape from pressure it is often ruined by a poorly timed drop or a stupid penalty. Look across the side line at Carolina when we were shutting Cam down they adjusted to short drops, crossing patterns, used their run game to set up the pass...Cams stat line was pretty damn bad, but he isnt being bashed by his fans today because they eeked out a win with timely adjustments that played to what our D was giving them and put him in easy down and distance using high percentage throws on plays that developed quickly.
