Because he has the double team and blocking schemes totally focusing on him. While Bowman runs totally free to the ball. Get a clue.....

Impact plays are tough to make on Defense as an MLB. The opportunity has to arise and is rare.
Willis gets one or two per year which is excellent.
I consider big plays on Defense to be like J.Smith made against Maclin to strip the ball. Or a pick 6 against SEA and STL to seal the victories.
Thats the only one this whole year.
That being said, Willis is having a great year and is playing stellar football. The big plays will happen. Its only week 5.

Ray Lewis also plays in a highly aggresive zone blitzing team with the best 3-4 pass rush in the NFL, courtesy of Haloti.Ngata and Suggs. He is also backed up by very good press man cirners and the best Safety in the league. What does all this mean? He can range play aggressive and make plays. On the contrary, P. Willis plays in a soft zone coverage team. Is backef up by mediocre safeties and 1 solid corner. Patrick is an amazing player and does his job, ANYONE who thinks otherwise doesnt understand the scheme and role Patrick plays in. He is the best Mlb in the league bar none.Originally posted by Chief:Ray Lewis does constantly.

Willis hasnt declined in anyway. Im glad that Bowman is making plays. Like the Bears have urlacher and Briggs. We now have Willis and Bowman. Our D line is beast mode. our LBs are beast mode we have to get the DBs to chime in and on the D side of things we got 1 of 3 parts needed to win the big one. Willis is just getting started he dont need to be everywhere and wear himself out he just needs to play his game.

its little things like that, some don't notice. Heck even the Eagles website talked about that play leading up to our game and showed how great of a job Patrick Willis is doing for us.
He should've waited till the receiver had possession of the ball, then forced him to fumble, pick it up and run it all the way back for a defensive TD. Now that would've been something special! Too bad he didn't do it tho.
