"We probably pressured more in this preseason game than we have in (any) others," Saints coach Sean Paytonsaid.
Oh yeah? -Well f**k you, too, a*****e. Payton is a dick, probably wanted to exploit/befuddle a rookie coach.
Since i was at work i wasn't able to see it live so i was getting text from family saying our O line was horrible, now actually seeing it for myself i saw that the saints rushed 7 to 8 men every other play, kinda odd since i never seen that especially for a first preseason game, obviously i'm not giving the O-line a pass but damn did they wanna blitz alot,
It's obvious there is still work to be done and considering Harbaugh's comments the past couple of days leading up to the game he knew the team wasn't ready and needed more time installing before they are ready to competitively take on the NFL.
With that said I don't think it's as bad as it looks considering the Saint's D went regular season on us while we're just out there to get our feet wet with the new system. If this was a week 1 matchup a lot of what the Saint threw at us would've been game planned and we would've been further along with the install of the offense and better able to pick up the pressure.
That's not to completely excuse the play of our offense as it still could've handled it better but I'm actually glad it happened like it did because it should motivate everyone to keep working harder and expose the areas that need to be worked on and I'm sure Harbaugh and staff will be working on blitz pickup quite a bit this week.

Its funny how we were able to shut down their first string without blitzing, yet they had to bring the kitchen sink to stop our offense.
They wanted to make their defense look better than it actually is; probably to sell tickets. They were obviously trying to put on a show in front of their fans. Maybe ticket sales are down???

I know and that guy on the other team..... what was his name.......oh yeah....Drew Brees or whatever he was only 1/4 for 6 yards from an 11 YEAR VETERAN! Poor Saints are going to have a rough year with that guy as their qb......

The good..
Braylon looked like a real #1 receiver with nice adjustment on a route
Aldon Smith and Brooks= real pass rush, first time since??? Nice to see Brooks come up in the world.
Boone also coming up in the world. Nice to see him turn things around from the drinking days.
The coaching went from a guy that would say "we're handing the ball to gore" to a coach that shows nothing and says nothing to the other team.
Defensive front hasn't missed a step...I don't think. Backfield looks like communications off but talents better?
Special teams, I think we got some guys that can return for us.
The bad...
Special teams, missing some blocks and tackles..hope this gets cleaned up
Mays isn't really making a case for a high pick for us.
Center snaps worry me...
Chilo isn't going to get better from here but we're stuck. We aren't moving Boone or Davis around. Thatd be crazy.
Crabtree- I thought he might have a more serious foot problem then everyone first thought and Maiocco said "his foots fine". Guess it's not. My guess is that he'll re-injure it every year.

Bad
We still have Smith throwing either too high or too low. Too far or too short.
Kap's god awful throwing motion. If he cant shorten that sh!t up, he needs to go study tape of Randall Cunningham's long, yet very fluid motion or else he won't have much success unless he's running. He's young so he has time to work that out.
Ugly
ALL of those issues are dwarfed in comparison to how piss poor that O Line is. God help Alex Smith and any QB who has to play behind this line. Iupati gets a pass, but everyone else... . I heard Ballke didn't want to bring Smith back, but DAMN! To not improve this O line so they get him killed? Dang, Baalke is gangsta for that sh!t.
They've only had 10 practices. Don't get your panties all in a bunch. They'll get better.
A. Smith will be A. Smith! I dont live in Cali, but I hope he gets boed at our first home reg season game. I'll rather have a rookie mess up and hopefuly get better than a 7yr guy who looks the same every year and plays like trash! We're gonna finsh 4-12 or 5-11. Top 5 pick next yr in draft. Season is over!
