He was adopted by a white couple. I think he's using their last name.

The adoption story is pretty cool. I'm not clear on all the details but a guy I am working with lives in Turlock near the family. He knows them quite well. I'll see him Tuesday and bring an update if he has anything to add that hasn't been written by that time.
