Yea, these nickname threads are probably my least favorite style of thread the WZ has. It not only happens for every new player, but we have'em for coaches, owners, front office guys, and combinations of the above.
People post stupid nicknames they think are all clever and then no one ever uses them (except the people trying to push their own lame nicknames).
Nicknames, if they ever stick, arise from either spur of the moment blurting by people involved in a game the player is in, or the player themselves.
