Head coach Jim Harbaugh has confirmed that rookie Kendall Hunter will enter the season as the 49ers' No. 2 running back ahead of Anthony Dixon.
"Right now, Kendall Hunter is ahead on the depth chart," Harbaugh said on Saturday. Hunter's 231 yards on just 35 carries (6.6 YPC) led all running backs this preseason. Dixon, who went for 237 yards on 70 carries as a rookie last season, took the ball 40 times for 129 yards (3.2 YPC). Hunter is the handcuff to have for Frank Gore owners. Sep 4 - 12:06 PM

If we're lucky we will see a return. Kinda disappointed the Seachickens cut Jeff Reed, his weak kicks was resulting in returns more often then not during preseason.
