Honestly, even tho I've been a backer of the SC project in these forums, I'd prefer they stay in SF. If the city can present a plan thats viable, I'm all for it.
I hope Lee can pull it off.
I just don't see that happening.

The Santa Clara project would have to implode before the York's gravitated to any other plan.

There's a pretty big hole in the financing there. Hundreds of millions of dollars. A hole the that the current CBA + the most lucrative recent naming rights deal + PSL's wouldn't be able to close. Now maybe the new CBA will afford the NFL a bigger fund to allow teams more money to build stadiums but even then I don't see the money being there unless someone like Google came in with an unprecedented naming rights offer to sponsor the stadium and a whole lot of people are willing to shell out New Meadowlands-type fees for PSL's.

That makes too much sense. Not Burlingame in particular, but somewhere North of San Mateo and South of the city. Off of 101 / the bay. I really like the Brisbane option (I think Pelosi offered up an an alternative years ago).
