We need a top qb prospect. We won't get him at the #21 pick in the first rd. Too many teams that badly need a new qb are going to be drafting in the top 5 of the first rd this season.

The Niners need to end up with say the 8th pick. Then trade whatever it takes to move up and get a qb like Andrew Luck.

Picking 21st in EVERY round will not help in any way.

Seems like the Steelers, Colts, Ravens, Eagles, Cowboys, Giants, Packers, Chargers, and Patriots don't seem to have a problem picking late in the draft since they are consistently good, consistently picking late and consistently REMAINING good

word

and the teams that draft early consistently are awful. just shows that draft position has no correlation to team success. it's how you draft, not where you draft.

Here is what I think is silly.

Fans who watched the Niners sucking ass all season against decent teams but now think they will suddenly be able to beat teams like the Packers, Giants, or Saints in the playoffs.

The Niners WILL get embarrassed in the playoffs (if they make it).

Alex Smith was at the helm of the team during the brunt of the season, never know what could happen with Troy coming back in late in the season, maybe he stomps STL and ARI and rides the wave into the post-season. It's not insane to be hopeful that your team can do the unthinkable....

You're still on the message board posting your opinion which means you haven't given up either. Denial is a tricky b***h

Once you get into the playoffs, the hot team usually wins it all. If we can run the table these next two games and go intp the playoffs playing our best ball, there no telling how far we can go.

The Niners just got their ass beat by the Chargers. You think beating a young team with a rookie qb (Rams) and a horrible team like the Cards would make the Niners a "hot team" entering the playoffs?
A common saying...

"Once you get into the playoffs anything can happen"

That's because usually a team must improve to a certain level in order to qualify for the playoffs. The Niners didn't improve (as indicated by a pathetic 5-9 record). The Niners remained mediocre this season and are just lucky they are playing in the worst div in the history of the NFL.

I have a better chance of a booty call with Angelina Jolie then the Niners do of winning a playoff game this season.

f**k. Why dont you get the f**k off the board then? What's the point in coming on and b***hing in thread after thread? You're not contributing any insight or analysis you're just slandering every aspect of the team you supposidly support. If you dont like the 49ers then f**k off

Why the hell would you want a booty call with that artificial hag? If you are gonna wish, might as well wish big.

Yes, you are correct, we did get beat by a very good Charger team on the road. Tell me which of the top 3 Elite teams in the NFC embarrassed us?

Was it the Saints who beat us on a last second FG after we gave them 5 turnovers?

Or how about the Eagles who beat us by 3 even though we turned the ball over 5 times in that game as well?

Or how about Atlanta, who beat us by 2 on a last second FG after we had that game only to give it right back as well as our 2 other turnovers in that game?

Which team embarrassed us and which team is going to COME INTO SAN FRAN and embarrass us "again"???

The only QB is luck that is worth trading up as he is the most polished. Outside of him it doesn't matter were you draft the QB because he will need to be coached and developed.

At the least, it will give them some confidence heading into the playoffs. If you would have told me that the SF Giants would win the World Series heading into the playoffs, know one would have believed you. But, once your in it's survive and advance.

How many good teams have the Niners beat this season?

Did Vick play when the Niners lost AT HOME to Philly? Seems like Philly is playing just a tad bit better now with Vick at qb. lol

So the Niners gave up FIVE Turnovers AT HOME to the Saints and you're hanging your hat on "we only lost by a fieldgoal"??? Hmmkay

Let's not forget that Frank Gore is now on IR.

The Niners don't beat good teams(the kind you play against in the playoffs).
"Which team embarrassed us and which team is going to COME INTO SAN FRAN and embarrass us "again"???"

The following teams will beat the Niners no matter where the game is played. Were gonna get one of them in the first rd (if we make the playoffs). Does it matter how wide their eventual margin of victory is?

Saints,

Giants

Eagles

Packers

Let's get really crazy and assume the Niners make it all the way to the Superbowl. What do you think the Steelers or Patriots would do to our pathetic 5-9 squad?
I'm tired of losing. I'm even more tired of all the excuses and false hope provided by wins over s**t teams.
