Our team should be 7-3 instead of 3-7. The problem is that Singletary is satisfied with just sitting on hope, which is not going to win you any games. We have a ton of talent, but Singletary is the human handcuff that is holding us back. We are so bad on offense that we might as well run the wishbone offense. Singletary needs to realize that this team is not the 1985 Chicago Bears and Frank Gore is not Walter Payton. His 2008 postgame rant is now a joke, and I laugh just thinking about it.

...And he likes to thank opposing coaches after an ass whipping. Good guy if you ask me.

I'm not so sure. Any coach who goes up to the post game podium and rants about how awful they're doing is destined for a Coors commercial. PLAYOFFS?!?!?
Though, I think he's delusional. At what point does he figure out that we can't run, even if we have a top tier RB. At what point does he realize that he needs to practice over and over and over passing plays with 8 defenders in the box? Running it between the tackles in that situation is what 3-7 teams are made of.
I don't care how horrible Alex Smith apparently is, if he practiced a pass play 10 times 5 days a week, he would be able to perform that in a game. And I don't care if he's the first one to practice and the last to leave, obviously it's a big waste of time because he's not gotten any better. Sticking with that guy is squarely on Mike Singletary... who made him a team Captain. Amazing.
Troy Smith may have some natural talent, but it's not enough to overcome the 49ers issues. They can't pass block or get creative in their route running so Troy's going to fail.
And yes, sticking with Jimmy Raye for a second season was wrong and that is Singletary's fault. AND not having a backup OC? Serious lack of planning on Singletary. His failures see no boundaries. At some point you need to start asking what good things he has done?

He got alot of his coaching themes from Nolan:
1/ Kicking a field goal is a good thing
2/ Losses / close defeats mean we "just have to execute" next week (as if it's all on the players)
3/ Clap on the sideline after your team messed up. (I've always hated coaches that do this excessively)
4/ Has no balls
5/ Thinks that hanging a sign at training camp that has your goals written on them will motivate the team
6/ Overall suckiness

News flash: Everything Singletary says is either ridiculous, plain stupidity, hypocritical, or a straight lie.

Don't forget complete lack of clock management skills, like using all of our timeouts in the first quarter because we can't get a play in

he's the same guy he's always been. he's a ton of talk and absolutely no content. the guy can't even recall key plays from a game that just happened! he's clearly too stupid to handle an nfl hc job.

It's not hope with Christianity. It's faith... the belief that whatever happens is a result of God's will.
So Singletary believes everything is happening because it is God's plan for him and his team.
