the calls on Brooks and Lawson for roughing were terrible.

Mike Johnson sucks as an OC. He tried to give the game away with his phaggot play calling.
Mike Johnson's playbook:
120 pages of Draws
88 pages of screens
1 crumbled up post it note with a pass play that someone spilled coffee on.
lol, that's pretty accurate.
Don't blame him, it's on Singletary.
Singletary sucks but he's not calling the plays brah. He probably agrees with the plays but he's not calling them.
Once again, he's doing what Singletary wants. I'm sure he wants to get more creative, but Singletary won't let him.
Its amazing how things are not working the way Singletary wanted. He decided to go with Alex w/o legit buck up QB, so he had to show the trust on Alex.
got 2 OLs with run play in mind and had to go spread. said need to run when needed and still cant with 5 1st/2nd round OLs.
And Sing will be gone after the season. Oh, I almost forgot OC situation.

Has anyone discussed those roughing the passer calls. It seems Orton helmet fell in to the hands of the rushers.

As usual, Justin Smith deserves a pat on the head and a case of Bud. It was amazing to see the frequency of triple coverages that they put on him today. But still he managed to get some heat on Orton. Another qualtiy (if frustrating) start from arguably our best player.
This Bud's for you, Smith!
f**k yes. Can't overstate how brilliant this signing was after Bryant Young retired.
Cowboy is a bawse. My favorite player on the D.

What a joke the officiating rules are becoming. Flag football soon.

oh yeah, and the broncos Oline was holding all game, and the refs called it maybe once.
Only on their Punt unit. Their RT had our LE in a freakin head lock on most every passing down. WTF is the Backfield Judge's Job again?
I was when Manny lowered the boom on Orton with the cleanest form tackle I seen in a long time. Looked better than when Spencer leveled Kitna.

That one long pass to the one yard line to Lloyd and Justin Smith was held from the line of scrimmage all the way to the QB, who somehow managed to have just enough time to get it off.

10 GOOD (not in order):
1) Play calling was good given the restrictions we were dealing with (3rd string qb who has only been on the team for 8 weeks), and more creative than folks are giving credit for here.
2) Sing's gutsy decision to start Smith, despite him not knowing the whole offense and only being on the team for 8 weeks.
3) Gore looked excellent, cut well, read the holes amazingly well.
4) No sacks, although this is largely b/c of Smith's movement in the pocket.
5) First great game of the season by Willis
6) Lawson looked excellent
7) The players stayed very poised in a difficult situation (playing in London, dealing with some horrid officiating).
8) Looks like Sing made the right decision to spend a week in London
9) Nice recovery game for Anthony Davis after his horrid performance last week. No penalties, no offsides.
10) Ginn looks fully recovered, and at this point we can conclude that returns won't be a problem.
11) Justin Smith continues to prove to be an EXCELLENT FA signing.
10 BAD (not in order):
1) Another bad game by the secondary, and we've run out of people to plug in.
2) The biggest problem we have is that we're just horribly undisciplined, and the lack of discipline on defense (screens, play actions, trick plays) is a HUGE concern.
3) Troy Smith was as lucky as good, and at least in this week had significant accuracy problems.
4) We're learning that Gore doesn't get spelled because we don't have much behind him. Westbrook doesn't have much left, and Dixon still dances too much.
5) The line wasn't that great in pass protection, a fact masked by Smith's movement.
6) Haralson was MIA yet again.
7) Everyone on the team dealt well with the horrible officiating...except for our head coach, who spent the game ranting out of control on the sideline again. It's embarrassing at this point, it's hurting our reputation, and I'd guess also our ability to get calls. It either has to stop or Sing has to go.
8) We make mistakes on defense on the same plays over and over again, and Manusky still isn't adjusting. This is a problem.
9) Once again, Staley looks to be a mediocre LT, not a good one, and far from a great one.
Actually not comparing him as an equal to, but this is what you expect of your HC. You want him calling out the Refs. If you do not believe me you need to thread the old projector up and watch some old Dynasty tape. Coach Walsh while he was a gentleman didn't hesitate to chew some Zebra tail when they made stupid calls.
The difference between then and now? The officiating is markedly worse today then it was back then. If Coach were still alive he'd look like a raving lunatic with these nuts the League considers Professionals.
Hell I thought Gerry Austin was a crappy official. Since he and Ed Hokulee (sp?) left, Officiating has taken a dump on the Football field and the flies and maggots are getting thick.
I agree that Mike needs to tone it down a bit, but I don't blame him for taking them on cause that's the job of the HC. He's SUPPOSED to do that so the Players don't feel the need to argue with the Refs and get kicked out of the game or penalized for some other stupidity. At least Sing hasn't cost us any yards with his anger. When he does, then I'll have a problem with it. Until then he has my blessing in this regard.

Orton surprised them by going down prematurely like a Nancy, instead of standing up and taking the tackle like a man. So when they were trying to grab his waist, they ended up grabbing his helmet.
Screw drafting the QB with the most talent; we need to draft the most Nancy QB with the biggest head.

Ok, So I thought I noticed something fishy about this series of downs when I was watching the game but I just remembered to watch this series again and noticed something odd. With 6:16 to go in the 4th Gore runs for a 1st down at the 8 yd line making it 1st & goal. the 1st play was a Gore run to the 5yd line making it 2 & goal. On 2nd down Gore runs it to the 2 yd line making it 3rd & goal. On 3rd down Norris gets stuffed making it 4th down...Right? With 3:53 to go Denver calls a timeout. When the game returns the field markers & commentators both say 3rd down. Gore then runs in to the end zone on the next play making it a none issue but did I miss something? Even if Sing did go for it on 4th & goal instead of taking the 3 while up by 7 with less than 4 min to go don't you think the guys in the booth & the rest of the media would be questioning this decision. Especially after getting stopped on 3 runs in a row? If I missed something please let me know.

Troy did well, showed a lot of control.
The playcalling was disappointing.
Gore had a great game.
The D was poor and the DB was awful. Takeo did quite well as did Mays.
The O line are getting better. Pass rush needs work.
Morgan had one good catch. Crabs did ok.
London fans were behind the 49ers by about 2-1, and we had a really good Mexican wave going at one stage.
New Wembley is so much better than old Wembley.
£3.50 for a bottle of Coors lite is daylight robbery, as is £8.50 for a small piece of pizza and a soft drink.
Wembley Loves The 49ers!

i was thinking the same thing. I saw it too.
however i assumed that i missed a penalty or something that started a redo of 3rd down.
no chance the Broncos staff would have let the refs off the hook for this.
we clearly missed something

Likely writing as a paranoid homer, but I got the distinct impression that Orton was tucking his head and intentionally drawing those calls.
Watching the Pats/Vikes games, it looks like that call is the NFL's bugaboo of the week.

I missed those last 5 downs or so... the only thing I caught was the touchdown. I was sitting next to the aisle and these two big bald british dudes, maybe in their 40's, just started duking it out and falling down the stairs... quite a scene
