Depends on how much power the new HC has.
Generally though, the HC and player personnel guys work independently of one another. So, no, I highly doubt Baalke is gone.

IF we get a new head coach does that mean Baalke is gone?

It depends on the HC because in the end I want a front office that works well with its HC. In saying that though I think he has done okay since he was promoted.

I doubt we get a new coach. Even though our coach is having a bad season is not his fault. Our rookie linemen are raw and our really hurting the team. Our Qb has always been inconsistant. Our defense has been playing ok but too bad there out in the field too long.

baalke did good in the draft, with the exception of anthony davis (so far) or at least the trade up to get him.. coulda used that 3rd to replace nate clements.

I hope he stay as vice president, I know a lot of you guys want a gm, not me I want just a new coach with offensive background... balky is great at what he does and we have a very talented team, the only think missing is a great coach to put all the pieces together on the field....
my two cents

I have nothing against Baalke, but before you get all in a lather about him, I ask what rookie has dazzled us during regular season games so far? Can't we just wait awhile before we grade out Baalke?

the HC prob brings in his own GM, or Jed hires a GM and he brings in a GM and Baalke goes back to his previous job of advance scout or whatever it was.

Rookies, generally, aren't expected to make a huge impact. It's awesome when they do, but they're supposed to be long-term investments.
No idea on how Baalke did until 2 or 3 years from now.

Guys like Gruden, Cowher, Dungy might want full control and could end up being GM's themselves. I wouldn't advise it because it usually is too much to handle. Not sure if they would allow them to pick their own guy if they didn't go the dual role. If it's a lesser known guy I doubt he would have any say and we would probably leave Baalke.

Baalke will still be here next season whatever happens with the HC, his role may change slightly, but he will still be here.
