That's not looking at the big picture at all...thats incredibly short sided actually.
While you're rooting for the Niners to lose, think about this. The more we lose, the more money it takes for us to resign what talent we do have. No player is going to cut a break to a franchise that cant seem to get their stuff together. Not to mention, players already on the team start to get disgruntled from losing, and dont play as hard for fear of getting injured.. And any free agent that dares look this direction is not going to settle for anything but top dollar.
Not to mention, walk up to Takeo Spikes who's playin his butt off for us this season, and tell him that we should try to lose the games for the sake of the big picture. When you wake up, come back on the board and let us know if you had any epiphanies during your nap...
u are just another blind fan...u really think that a non-knowledgable HC is the reason that there is a team morale? do u like working for a boss who dont know s**t of his work???
a head coach have to know the x's and o's of this game at least on one side of the ball, at least for interfering if the DC or OC does a s**tty job...like happened at tampa bay last year, where the HC fired his DC in the midle of the season and took his job over.
i dont even care about who is available for us in that shortage of time. i wanna get rid of sing. it wouldnt be worse if we hadnt a HC until the end of the season.
and just one hint: with sing we will lose, no matter how u look at it. if we start a winning streak, we lose a good draft position and keep that coach with us...if we keep losing, the morale will be finally destroyed...
but it's ok, it's not sing's fault that we tried to run a smashmouth-football, which a)was very predictable and b)didnt worked at all. yeah, i see your arguments...
I've noticed Sing haters are so hung up on the term "smash mouth' football as if that means Sing hates the idea of passing. Look, lets be real honest. Coming into this was Alex's last shot at being the franchise QB for the Niners, because he's been so inconsistent to just plain bad his entire career here, that signing him to an extension was just plain ludicrous. So Sing tried to put Alex in the best possible position to succeed. He brought in a non threatening backup QB in David Carr that was just good enough to take over if Smith got hurt. He brought back Jimmy Raye, which was the first time in Alex's career that he had the same coordinator going into another season, and he made the offense run around Frank Gore (our most consistent offensive threat) taking the pressure off of Alex to throw the ball 40 times a game.
Unfortunately, the running plays that were dialed up for Gore were uncreative and repetitive, as well as the o-line simply being young and inefficient. There weren't holes for Gore... and Alex despite having things simplified for him continues to create turnovers. Well, after three games of predictable play calling, guess what? Jimmy Raye is fired, Mike Johnson takes over, and the offense is noticably improved. However Alex is still Alex, and still commits costly turnovers that cost us the game.
If you were a head coach and you had an inconsistent QB, would you want the fate of the game constantly in his hands? Or would you turn to your PRO BOWLER Frank Gore in the hopes that ball control and good defense could win you the game? I dont understand how people dont get the logic in this? You dont try to reinvent the West Coast Offense with a QB whom is probably going to get dumped in the off-season.
I dont care how Mike Singletary looks or sounds on the sidelines or in press conferences, his plan coming into the season was the best plan possible. And if we cut out the turnovers, we'd be 3-3 right now.
BTW, what type of fan are you that has already written off the season? Why bother posting?? Its lose lose if we go on a winning streak?? Do they really take these type of opinions seriously on this board?
