Just wanted to share my thoughts and predictions after week 4. I'm interested to see what you guys think:
- It's only one game, but I'm on the Mike Johnson bandwagon.
- Frank Gore deserves better.
- I don't mind that Michael Lewis is gone.
- Our defense is not as strong a unit as hyped.
- Our 2-minute defense is terrible.
- The worst part of the schedule is over.
- PREDICTION: We WILL turn it back around.
- I like how Delanie Walker is being used.
- I don't like that Delanie Walker had a critical fumble against the Saints.
- PREDICTION: We WILL turn it back around... but it'll be too late.
- Alex Smith is awesome when he has protection.
- Our team finds so many ways to lose.
- Alex Smith is not awesome when he has pressure.
- I'm relieved that Kyle Williams is back from injury. I feel comfortable with him back there.
- We have a young offensive line and a QB that doesn't handle pressure well. I wonder what defenses will do.
- Is Ted Ginn back soon?
- I roll my eyes listening to Singletary's press conferences.
- PREDICTION: The offense will be in the top 16.
- Taylor Mays is gonna be a great player.
- I think Shawntae Spencer is our best defensive back.
- It surprises me how often we only rush 3 guys.
- It's pathetic that we let Atlanta and New Orleans score on us with 1 minute left each.
- PREDICTION: Morgan and Crabtree each finish with 750 yards receiving.
- Did I already say Mike Johnson's gonna be a great OC?
- Vernon Davis, although hasn't gotten the ball a lot, really looks like he wants to be a winner.
- PREDICTION: Brian Westbrook will not have any significant contributions, other than an occasional spell.
- I think it's silly how many people want to bench Smith in favor of Nate Davis.
- Josh Morgan is exceeding my expectations of him.
- Michael Crabtree is falling short of my expectations of him.
- Michael Crabtree is improving.
- Our screen plays seemed more effective under Mike Johnson.
- PREDICTION: The offense will rally behind a player who has a breakout game, and we'll start our tear.
- Dashon Goldson is overrated.
- I miss Bryant Young.
- I appreciate Justin Smith's motor.

I agree with most of them. I think we'll turn it back around now that the hardest part of our schedule is nearly over. Lets beat the beagles like Michael Vick used too!

Wow that was a convoluted post... but still easy to read and I agree with pretty much everything.
Here's my thoughts on the first quarter of the season:
- We suck.
- If we lose to Philly, change QB's and fire Singletary.
- If we win vs. Philly we can turn this season around.

Agreed. the Eagles game defines our season. If we win, we just got a win against a team that most teams in our division won't win against. If we lose, we're 0-5 and circling the drain. We really need to win this game too because it's at home and we just need the first friggin win on the board.

ehh don't fire sing. We would get some interim coach, he would look like a genius in the easiest part of our season, well extend him, and next year he will look like a fraud. Give sing the year, if he continues on this downward slope fire him and get some proven coach.

Agree dont fire till the end of the season. If he gets us to the playoffs and we turn it around keep him, but if we keep up mediocrity or sucking he's done, and we will draft a new qb

Pretty much agree... nice write up wubbie.
Will add not happy with the special teams play... only averaging 16.8 YPR on kickoffs... probably giving up 25 +, PR Williams has fielded way too many around the 10 yard line, not sure of the number but giving up good yardage on PR.
Alex is doing alright, he just has to cut out those 2 dumb mistakes every game.
OL looked better this game but has been up and down majorly. I think 5 sacks given up against KC and only 2, maybe 3 the other 3 games.
Impressed with Zeigler in few chances he has gotten... he looks like he wants it out there
Agree, 3 man rush getting sent most of the time... think that is our bend don't break philosophy...
Goldson might be having the worst year out of anybody.... T. Brown not doing well
Spencer and Nate doing well minus a few key mistakes
Glad to have Mays starting....
Main reason we are 0-4, stupid mistakes (shooting yourself in foot). We are -6 in turnover ratio... second worst in league. What happened to the defense getting turnovers (0 FF so far, 4 INTS (clements/spencer). Where are the rest of the guys? Willis not playing up to potential... think he is getting sent into coverage too much
Edit: Agree, VD has been a real team player despite not getting the ball for large chunks at a time

Like I have been saying I think we are 3-1 in beating ourselves. The only game I think we should have lost is KC. Even that game it was 10-3 at half and we fell apart in the 2nd half because of dumb mistakes.
