that's probably what's gonna happen. Scary thing is, by the time we actually get a decent QB, the rest of the talent on this team will probably be gone.
I can see this. Gore for sure.
But at least we have the makings of a really good offensive line. By next season? That line will be one of the best in the league. It will do well at protecting a rookie QB -- who will also hopefully do well.
Look how Bradford is performing for the Rams? Kind of makes me sick to my stomach to reference the play of our hated rivals -- but there's no denying that he's probably the best QB in the NFC West right now.
And the sad thing is: he's only going to get better and better.
Dixon has looked great and if the 49ers will stop talking about lessening Gore's load and start actually letting Westbrook and Dixon play, Gore could last a few more years.
As for a QB. It only takes an off-season.
As for the "rest of the talent", the Niners are still a young team. And the veterans that are playing, its clear we have young talent behind them Bowman for Spikes, Mays for "that quitter", Tarrell Brown for Clements.
Who else on the team is so old they cannot last 2 or 3 more seasons?
