I think we are 3-1 in beating ourselves.

Despite loosing another nailbiter there were actually some great performances:
1) Crabtree- his best game of the year so far got open and got huge completions.
2) Offense- did a solid job of converting 3rd downs. (Despite Smith sucking on 2 horrid plays costing us 6-14 points)
3) Goldson- The best game I have seen from him this year, really stepped up in the wake of chaos with the whole Lewis situation.
4) Haralson- provided great pressure and had a big sack and a hit for a loss of 3.
5) Clements- Had the best game in a very long time, despite absolutley costing us the game at the end. (All he had to do was fall down and we have a great road win).
I just still wonder why Westbrook gets no playing time??

Man how can some of you blame Clements for that loss?? All it really was, was a play for minus 40 yards. If anything it was Goldson who couldn't defend the pass for his zone for squat!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone played good except Alex Smith.

The 49ers could potentially be a team on the rise. It is young and has no recent tradition of winning. The fact that they almost beat Atlanta and New Orleans shows that they are getting closer to being a winning team.
But we are at a crossroads. The team could give up for the rest of the season, or it can be enlivened and win a number from here on. All good teams make a transistion at one point from that of a loser to that of a winner. It is up to this team to make the choice. Again, just a few mistakes can mean the difference between winning and losing. This team must now grow up and become a mistake free team.
