we play only 2 good qb the rest of the way.....Mr. Aaron Rodgers and Philip Rivers and unfortunately they are both on the road. Matt Ryan is borderline pretty good. So Maybe 3 good qb's and they are all on the road
The rest of the schedule is trash...we can still go 11-5, we lose the 3 games to the packers/falcons and chargers....but the rest of the schedule are games we should win, the teams are a joke.
It'll be a pathetic 11-5 as we would've lost to the 4 legit teams w/ good qb's..but i'll take it

Look I live in Atlanta, and know the Falcons pretty well. They are built very similar to us. They love to run the ball and play smash mouth football like us. Our defense is significantly better than theres. The only thing is the Falcons are great at home. Either way I see us matching up well with them and beating them.
Every team on our schedule is beatable. Its a matter of not beating ourselves. We don't play anyone that really scares me. Even the Packers are looking beatable this year. I don't think 11-5 is that far off....I just think the 3 additional losses may come against teams we don't expect.....

We should be worried about the Chiefs first and foremost...they are playing great defense and special teams. There QB is solid and overall its just a tough place to play, ask the chargers.
When is the last time we went on the road and played the early game and won....its been a very long time.

I'm pretty optimistic about the rest of the season after yesterday's game.
That said, most teams still lose a couple games they're favored in throughout the year. We're no different. We'll drop one or two more of those. That's not a knock on the Niners, just the way of the NFL.
So I think we're looking at 9 or 10 wins. But in the NFC West that means we win the division with a 3 game lead. Ha.
And as a side note...somebody is going to have to make a real convincing argument that Alex Smith is NOT the best QB in the NFC West this year. He was not the reason we lost our two games. He absolutely can make improvements, but thus far, his interceptions are not on him. Moreover, after two games...the Niners have the highest ranked offense in the division.
Hasselbeck looked atrocious, Bradford is still a rookie and Anderson is...well he's Derek Anderson. That's not so much a compliment to Alex as it is an indignation to the rest of the division's QBs.

I'm not an Alex Smith believe, but last night he answered all the doubts I had about him. He absolutely came through in the clutch, and carried the team as you would expect a true leader-quarterback to do.
With that said, I'm absolutely confident that this team take the NFCW.

i don't expect us to go 11-5 but if we do, it won't prove anything, that is my point genius.
the 11-5 record we can achieve would essentially be a sham as i can see us achieving 11-5 by losing to every good team and beating the scrubs.
but all in all, anything less than 9-7 deserves a firing of mike singletary. this schedule is an absolute joke...going worse than 9-7 is grounds for a firing

Matt Cassel is anything but a solid QB...but agree the game is tough.

I have to agree with you on this. KC is a tough place to play, and they have McCluster and Arenas returning Kicks and Punts. They also are opportunistic on defense, and have a good running game.
Don't look beyond them.

I had us going 4-4 or 5-3 (optimistic) going into the bye week. I still think that is a realistic outcome after last nights game. I still think that us winning the division with a 9-7 record is still a good possibility. Every other team in our division will lose at least 3 of the next six games given there schedule. If we can put together 4 wins in the next 6 games then we are still very much in the hunt. Seattle and Arizona looked just as bad if not worse this weekend than we did last week and the rams will not make the playoffs. Still very optimistic, still plenty of football to be played and still have faith in this team from top to bottom.

I don't want to start predicting records but my focus is on the NFC West. With the entire division losing this weekend...it is still very very wide open.
And honestly, can you really picture the Cardinals or Seahawks winning this division!? no way.
