Should we use Ginn more, and work him into the O more?

not going to happen....Ginn is a perfect #3 if he can hold onto the ball that is. He's a stretch the field type of guy, Morgan can move around, block and is the every down WR the 9ers like.

Morgan has better hands and is a better blocker. Ginn has no chance to unseat a healthy Morgan as the #2.

Once Williams gets healthy and back in the swing of things....watch out. I see him fighting for Ginn's spot real quick.

It seems to me like whenever he's gotten a chance he's done okay. Hopefully coming back from his injury he can start playing more. On that slant he caught he looked good, and he had a nice catch vs Philly I think where it was like a deep pass but he sat down basically and got like 20 yards out of it. I think he also caught a slant vs Philly for a 1st down. He is a nice weapon and is good at getting open, plus he can lift the coverage. Smith doesn't do so well with the sideline throws, but Morgan gets open down the middle and Smith has put it there just a little too far out there. I feel like if Ginn was there he'd catch up to those and we'd get some big plays down the middle. I also think we should have him run some more slants, because he can beat guys on that route and all Smith has to do to hit him somewhat in stride is just put it out there and TGinn Jr. goes and gets it. Also, maybe we could use him on some end arounds and get him the ball with a full head of steam so he can make some guys miss? This guy doesn't have 100% reliable hands, and we're not great at getting the ball down the field, but he is such a weapon that we just need to figure out how to use him.

I think it's a good idea. The guy can flat out run.

Problem is Smith cant get it to him because of the O line or he just cant throw the deep ball. Was open a LOT at the raiders game and the whole stadium was yelling throw it deep.

I think that would be asking too much of Ginn. The occasional play is fine right now until this Line is better prepared to keep the Defense off our QB.
Man they were folding like a wet paper sack today. I was shocked when Smith hit Tree in the End Zone, cause just prior to that we went to Frank and he got stopped after two yards.
Generally in that situation, going over the top is impossible cause the pocket is collapsing around the ears of our QB. And had been much of the day.

Yeah but it doesn't take that long to get the ball to Ginn on a slant route like we have, or maybe some intermediate routes. He can get open quick, we need that. We need to get him the ball period. It doesn't have to be just as a guy who lifts the top of the D. Get him the ball on some slants, some in routes or drag routes, get him the ball on some end arounds, and he can get some yards. The Eagles do it with DJax and Maclin all the time. The Pats do it with Brandon Tate. Heck if a team is blitzing us, throw him a screen pass. We need to get him the ball so he can do something with it because he can do a lot when he has the ball in his hands.

I think it's the plan. I mean, he's been injured up until last week. I think they haven't been able to fully put him in the offense because of Mike Johnson's promotion and the fact that he's had to take some punt-returning duties.
I felt nervous about him before, but his speed just seems to spark our team... so much that I don't even THINK any bad thoughts when he's in the game.

At first blush it seems obvious, more Ginn is a good thing. But I suppose you could rephrase the question like this: Would you like to run the risk of sending our punt and kick return teams back to the stone age?
Since competence is as rare as hens' teeth on this team, I think I'd like to see more Zeigler. Please tell me I haven't been infected with Singletary conservatism.

we need more Zeigler, it seems he has come up to make a fantastic catch on some really s**tty passes almost every time the ball comes his way.
