I'm disappointed in Alex Smith for letting the Colts score a TD!!!

Me too!

I'm also disappointed in Alex Smith's lack of effort in helping to clean up the BP oil spill!

Yeah, WTF?!? And how could he let the stock market go to s**t?!?
ttime, that throw Alex made was not perfect but it was one of those throws where only the receiver could make a play on it, which is actually better than a perfect throw against tight coverage. I mean check this pass out...

OMFG! I heard that he was responsible for all of the Toyota recalls as well!!

He also didn't completely level any defensive ends. What's up with that?
LIKED:
OFFENSE:
Smith looked like he had some time to look downfield, and looked confident
O-Line looked solid for the most part
Smith was able to find Walker for some nice gains
David Carr looked pretty good, picking up yards through the air and on the ground with his 16 yard run in the 2nd. (9/11, 98 yards, 1 TD)
Anthony Dixon looked great today, if he can keep this up he will be the #2 back for sure (21 carries for 100 yards and a TD, as well as 3 catches for 22 yards.)
Nate Byham had some nice catches
Nate Davis looked solid, moving the ball down the field.

DEFENSE:
Solid Run Defense throughout
Diyral Briggs played a solid game, was in on many plays
First team defense keeping the Colts out of the endzone after the Robinson Fumble
Kristick and Goldson made some nice stops in the first two Defensive series
Taylor Mays had a nice open field tackle on 3rd down
Pressure on the QBs was good to see (2-3 unit)
Reggie Smith Pick 6
Stoudamire had good coverage that forced a punt on 3rd down.
Forced Defensive Turnovers

DISLIKES:
OFFENSE:
1st team offense struggled overall and failed to convert on 3rd downs, even a 3rd and 1 early in the game
WRs dropping passes, especially Ginn's drop off the screen
Robinson's fumble on first play, you just can't do that
ONLY 16 yards on first two series and 0 First Downs
Smith had two incomplete passes, then on 3rd down threw an interception, Smith had a rough day as a whole (3/9, 37 yds, 1 Int)

DEFENSE:
On Colt's second series the D gave up tons of yards through the air as they allowed the Colt's to go 89 yards in 5 plays for a TD
Missed tackles on Addai's TD run
CB Brown got beat deep, luckily Painter overthrew the WR
Briggs' fumble after INT, giving Indy a 1st down

A lot to work on, but overall not a bad start for the Niners.

Dixon is awesome, I like his personality in the interview!

were can i find the interview?
Our 1st team is an absolute joke of a team. Honestly I think our 2nd and 3rd team are better even though they are going against backups... And our return game is still full of problems.

We have a good backup RB. Who needs Coffee?...

Yeah our 1st team definitely struggled, and our 2-3 units dominated the Colts.
Without seeing Gore and Crabtree I'm not going to read too much into Alex and the first team looking shaky.

I like that they left Iupati and Davis in for about three full quarters.
I liked Reggie Smith around the ball constantly
I liked Anthony Dixon

I didn't like that V. Davis got dinged
I didn't like seeing A. Davis look utterly lost early, but not shocked

The whole 1st team offense wasn't on the field. Hard to make any serious judgment on them as a whole

Yeah and I agree, just seeing what happened today, with the personnel we had the first group struggled. But without Gore and Crabtree, and not really running a gameplan the odds were against them from the beginning. I'm defintely not a "the season is over after 1 preseason game" fan. Lots of work to do, but not a bad start to the season for the niners!
