Why I think we won't make the playoffs

Let's look at the teams that we beat last season:

32. Rams
31. Lions
27. Seahawks
22. Jags
21. Bears
8. Cardinals

Ok, so besides the Cards, what do the rest of those teams have in common? they couldn't score. Jimmy Raye was only able to outscored teams with some of the worst offenses and defenses in the league. That is worrisome. To add to that, alot of our key players on defense all of a sudden started to smell their own s**t after an 8-8 (pathetic) season. If these players start the season feeling themselves too much then we'll be in for a rude awakening IMO. Whiz and his staff is still alot more experienced and efficient than Singletary. Also, Pete Carroll will improve the Seahawks.

Okay, according to you, we won't be any better offensively, we'll be worse defensively, and won't make the playoffs.

Based on what, I don't know. A gut feeling? Tea leaves? Tarot cards? You don't give much of a reason...

Also, if you're so sure, why even bother watching?

weren't we playing with half of an offensive playbook last year, to hide deficiencies on the OL, a change at QB, a hurt RB, and a starting WR with zero training camp/practice... we'll be okay this year

tired yes, not clutch. .no. this defense made stops, problem being they make a key stop and after they other team punts, ST or Offense turn the ball over almost immediately after. or offence was not all that good but our special teams was worse than that. do you remember how many times are offense started deep back in our territory, they did our already shaky offense no favors either. it will be alot better and Raye did what he could, it just seemed like training camp mode the whole season. we spent the year trying to figure out who we were. if raye can get Elvis Grbac to a pro bowl, he can get Smith there too. we will make the playoffs and we will make some noise when we get there. and we do have one of the top defenses in the league.

Exactly homie. they never got stops when the team needed them. they get better at 3rd downs then they take a major step forward to being top notch. Those 3 games sum it up perfectly. And it's the difference between playoffs and being home.

ya we got lucky a few games... and ya we loss a few games last year! it's called staying in the game and keeping it close! EVEN WITH THE BEST TEAMS! the only team who stomped on us last season was the falcons.

so a clutch stop is luck. . . .cause it was Cutler throwing. I guess we never see Peyton throw the ball to a defender sitting on a route in the clutch. defense is better than we think, not worse. it was the defense that kept us in the games and made the season interesting. it was the special teams and offense that left them out to dry.
