Well I'm all for getting rid of shaun hill, I have been the biggest anti hill guy for a while.

That being said, it would be funny if hill stayed and beat out carr and Smitty in the offseason. (i know there is no competition, but if alex comes out looking s**tty im sure the coaches would make the change)

Probably been stated before but: If Smith goes down in a game we wouldn't have to change the game plan like we would if Hill was the backup.

I agree. The demise of Shaun Hill was Superbowl 44. All the 49er brass had to do was watch two Superbowl caliber QBs throw the ball...deep, accurate, and threading the needle. This was enough for management to say, hey we're not going anywhere close to the big dance if Shaun Hill has come in the game... (and Nate Davis isn't ready).
