I think Brady resigned for less money than he could have got to remain with the Pats and to ensure they can build a strong team around him for his last few years. I mean how many guys in the NFL have a wive who makes more $$ than them? Most i would say are mooches and just look pretty.
Why are you trolling about a cap guy? Ya he helped hire Mike Nolan, so what? What Terry Donahue did to completely eff up the cap situation with the 49ers through the early 2000's, Paraag (ironically brought in by Donahue) has completely undone and set up the 49ers to have continuous success with his very team-friendly contracts that have been consistently coming through for almost the last decade. Go troll somewhere else. What has he done? By that logic, what has Harbaugh done? What has Jed York done? Nothing in your eyes. Things finally turned around when Papa York gave the keys to the engine to his son, and we are now set up for some great success. And instead of recognizing that you would rather be an ungrateful troll. Good job, keep it up.

Don't ever forget Walsh brought us Donahue.

Don't ever forget DeBartolo hired that scrub GM his first year.

s**t happens
Yeah, but Walsh and Eddie D brought us five SBs. Whats he done? Nothing!!!!

Paraag just did it again. This guy is secret behind the success the 9ers have had. Without his tireless work on the cap the 9ers would not get the extra pieces, and unlike Baalke and Harbaugh, Paraag will never get any limelight for his work.

Every time a 9er contract comes out, the initial response is the team get bent over, but as the facts and small print of the contract come out, it is evident the organization knows what they are doing.

My message to Paraag and the entire front office:

Well played, sir. Well played.

Moving on to Crabtree, Iupati, Boone, and maybe Vernon Davis.
He done a spectacular job.
Awesome job this guy continues to do for this 49er organization!

The combo of Jed, Paraage, Jimbo, and Baalke is incredible in what they have done for this team.

Not only have they turned the team into an instant contender, they got the new stadium.
This guy continues to be awesome.

Unsung hero. Who comes up with DE-escalators?

IKR?

Genius...big-time QB deals are all about the big signing bonues, grand total of the contract, obtainable bonuses, escalators, added incentives, etc. and he gets CK and his agents to agree to DE-escalators if he doesn't reach the Superbowl or isn't a 1st or 2nd team All Pro? Then he throws in all of this as well:

CK also has $2 million de-escalators in his deal, in which he can void them, by simply playing 80% of the offensive snaps, and either 1) help the 49ers to reach the Super Bowl, or 2) becoming a 1st or 2nd team All Pro, in any year. If he does this is 2014, the de-escalators are completely voided for each year. He is also eligible for a $100,000 workout bonus this year, along with $400,000 workout bonuses starting in 2015-2020, and $2 million roster bonuses, tied to the game-day active roster, starting in 2015-2020.

Brown Magic is a character right out of Game of Thrones.

I'm always impressed with the moves he makes.

Marathe isn't the HC lol
You are the one who brought up Eddie D's example of Joe thomas's hiring. Was Eddie D a HC?. But ED set the path by hiring Bill Walsh and the rest is the history. What did this fool do? He and John York destroyed a once proud franchise for many years. Don't forget it.

What are you talking about?

a cap wizard makes the team...pure and simple.
Loved reading all the hate on the contract by people just looking at "126 million 61 guaranteed". OMG 126 MILLION 61 GUARANTEED THE NINERS ARE SCREWED KAP IS A SUX AND THEY OVERPAID BECAUSE THEY SUX GOODBYE WINNING SEASONS. Yeah, you must not have read the details of the contract or seen how the niners do business these days, they don't overpay anyone, just the fact they got this deal done so quickly reveals how much it favors them. How about listening to the experts talk about the contract and how the niners came out on top of this one instead of just looking at the 126 million part. OMG NINERS GOT FLEECED BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW SQUAT REALLY.

Also, good job Paraag, again.

It does favor them.

And if Kap wanted more he would have gotten more and this wouldn't have been settled to further down the line. All negotiations start far apart and inch closer over time. If Kap wanted more money, simple, drag the negotiations out and have Paraag inch your way.

There are about 15-20 QBs the NFL thinks can take them to the promised land. They have the clout. Simple supply/demand. If there were 40 QBs, QB salaries would be very modest relative today.

If you really want to believe that our Front Office was brilliant and Kap was stupid (and ignore his comments in February implying he would negotiate "team-friendly"). Knock yourself out. Seahawks fans are right with you (of course yesterday they had bought Kap screwed the Niners into the ground $126/61).
