Ha! That means you were listening to the Razor everyday!

Haha. Seriously, I'm proud to say that our Front Office is maturing into one of the best in the league. We take care of our own players, and dish out the money for FA's when we need to, all while staying in good cap shape. Kudos to Paraag, Jed, and Baalke.

Right? Jed has been paying attention as he was growing up. Listening, working hard, and remembering, all attributing to his direction now. He made a huge mistake with Singletary, but his heart was in the right place. Now his mind and soul have caught up and he's letting others take care of their jobs while he directs the ship.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if we find out years from now that Eddie D made himself Jed's "puppet master" after being disgusted with where the niners were headed.

This how much I care
Paraag bhai, don't whine. Your problem is no different from what any another desi faces on a daily basis. You have to accomplish twice as much to be given half the credit.

For all of the ignorant, unwarranted scrutiny this guy received he deserves some damn credit. To this day, we still don't know if he was in the booth telling Nolan and Sing whether or not to challenge plays, if he had any input on play calling, etc. There were so many rumors about the guy but nothing was substantiated. He got a lot of flak for being part of the "new regime" and using analytics instead of "football instincts" to help with the draft. Some of it may be warranted, although, this guy was used as a HUGE scapegoat. I have never heard of a guy in his role get blamed for losing so much. As he stated in the past, "it'd be half as bad if [my name] were Perry Martin. It's a name you can pronounce. That would cut it in half. If I were white, it would cut it by another quarter. If I were 10 years older, it would cut it by another 10 percent."

Anyway, the salary cap is his b*tch and he does a damn good job. We have been sitting pretty in regards to the cap for a while. The latest example is the Ahmad Brooks contract which has a lot less real guaranteed money that originally reported. And the escalators and de-escalators are a beautiful thing. Every contract should be performance based with incentives like that.

Let's show some love for my boy!!!

Hmmm...I admire his work in an important part of professional football, managing the contracts and the cap. I wasn't aware that he whined like a b***h about his age, inexperience and the color of his skin. Few points off for that, but he is doing a great job keeping the Niners cap healthy. The job is about to get more difficult now as we start winning. Not as good draft position and free agents are going to want more money. I think the Niners have finally assembled quality people in the important roles, though, and that bodes well for long-term success.

Can't stand Barbieri. Been out of the Bay Area for 10 years now and I feel sorry for those who have been forced to listen to that high-pitched weasel for the last decade.

He wasn't whining... actually, bringing up valid points about why he was singled out a bunch for some odd reason. Not too many guys with a name like his involved in the NFL so it's a valid point. That is just the truth whether you want to admit it or not.
