It Catch, these are all year to year statuses. Deebo will not be the highest paid non QB. It's a fleeting status and he'll be the 5th highest paid WR in a couple years anyways.

I suppose he'll want another raise when that happens. I'm really tired of pro athletes making so much money that they can retire tomorrow and never work again. It's one thing to be comfortable but not every player needs to be a multi millionaire. Now football players are asking for more guaranteed money even though they get injured at a very high rate. If they keep doing this, In a few years teams are going to be bogged down financially with dead contracts.

I know it's only a few now but these things have a way of spiraling out of control just like WR salaries are.

That's fair. But Deebo has a different background than Kittle. He's about loyalty. He still should have kept it in house but he lives like he plays...emotional. You have to take a different business approach with him or naturally, he's going to get hurt and go public with it and stain an image John has worked hard to rebuild.

A sign of a great negotiator is understanding who's on the other side of the table. Again the FO miscalculated. Low balled to open the discussion. Pissed off one of our best players.

You were there? Assumptions.

English this is how Paraag negotiates and we definitely have proof of that - from Buckner to Kittle to Warner. And those are recent examples.

Link? How can you lowball someone who won't sit down to the table to negotiate?

Sounds like his agent sat down, Deebo got insulted and said c-ya.

You have a link for that? Have seen nothing to that effect. Also funny the niners always retain their big ticket FAs to big contracts that are beneficial to both sides in one way or another. But somehow they decided to switch things up with Deebo? Not likely

This is absurd. The salaries aren't spiraling out on control. It's what he market dictates if fair value for the position. The players salaries and the cap is going up b/c the owners are making even more money. You think these guys are just gonna let all the money go the the athletes and get themselves stuck in a jam. Come on. They are smarter than that. Of course they should be demanding more guaranteed money. The sport is brutual and you should be paid for putting you mind and body on the line. I haven't heard any retired NBA or MLB players worrying about CTE.

So yes he signed back. Did no one else want Williams, Warner, JG or Kittle either?

You have a link for that? Have seen nothing to that effect. Also funny the niners always retain their big ticket FAs to big contracts that are beneficial to both sides in one way or another. But somehow they decided to switch things up with Deebo? Not likely

Wait, you actually think the relationship soured because they had a disagreement over In-N-Out burgers? Of course it was over the negotiations. It obviously escalated from there to the point he now wants out.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport first reported that the trade request was made more than a week ago, but later added that the relationship soured about two weeks ago, around April 6.

I just listened to Rap on NFLN and he clearly said no negotiations have taken place and it's not about money. When you get that link that they lowballed him get back to me

I simply said Ward tried to warn you Paraag is ruthless and I said a while back, you gotta know who you're dealing with in negotiations. You're not coming at the aforementioned like you would Deebo. And now it's game over.

Lowballing is how you start every negotiation (within reason). So you think this got personal how?
f**k this a*****e. The one constant in our last 20 years of losing. We will never win anything with this guy.

So they railroaded Williams, JG, Warner and Kittle? Guys must have some morons for agents then since 3 out of the 4 are some of the best in the league
