Lol I knew we'd be in agreement on this. He is the f'ing devil! Get him away from this franchise!

Paraag using warfare tactics. Weakening the Jags from within. He knows they are drafting Lawrence but if he can ensure mist of the other picks are busts....

Oh yeah that's it...
Who cares if Marathe goes to bat for a former colleague for another organization? He has a specific role for the 49ers that Lynch has shown he can keep in check just fine.

Go ahead and believe that. I hope you're right but taking it for granted...not so much.

Yeah that's all right? Including that Dee Ford extension.

Also, this isn't true, it was Donahue that brought him in and it directly led to conflicts with Bill Walsh.

its all in this thread folks!

Regardless of leaks, while you can't change ownership, you can change administration. Any typical business holds their "president" accountable for failed performance. As far as i'm concerned, this guy has absolutely failed and it begins with him. Get rid of him, start over.

They struggled for like a decade and this guy kept consistently moving upwards anyways, why stop now? The Yorks clearly are buyingbwhat he's selling, he's like the Rasputin of the 49ers franchise.

Here's a blast from the past! Totally nailed it btw...

He was more than that. He was VP of Football Ops but was always in the shadows. Let's get stop avoiding the fact that he held more of a role than business and statistics analyst. That position doesn't interview GMs and HCs and is not called the VPFO. He is one of the larger figures in the organization who was responsible for our s**t show.

Dramatic much? This is a term coined by Kawakami. There was never anything "shadowy" about his role; it was clear from the beginning what he was hired to do and why. Does he share responsibility for this organization's performance? Of course. I don't think that's what being said. What's being said is that his role was not shadowy or some dramatic effect where he's this Boogey man with some sort of superpower. That stuff is for click-throughs.

His role wasn't defined. Ralph Barbeiri asked 49ers execs a number of times about his role and did not get a direct answer. That's when the shadiness began. Harbaugh was the one who clarified Marathe's role by taking him out of football things such as the booth.

THEN, for some reason, his title changed to VPFO. That does not mean strictly an analytics guy. Now, he played a key role in the hiring process which directly relates to his actual title of VPFO.

Only a few seem to believe his job was ONLY to help with contracts and analytics while his actions and title exemplifies otherwise.

I rest my case...this guy is and always has been shady AF. Now he's backing the supposed "real bad guy/leaker" for a GM job.

right....

Ummm, Paraag is Lynch's boss.
I guess "LA49ers" is back
Plz don't let the Paraag conspiracy theories come back
Baalke is in a great position to succeed at Jacksonville. They probably draft Lawrence and have more than $75 million in cap space. Urban Myer hasn't been an NFL coach but he's been successful everywhere he's been. The Jags have nowhere to go but up. Baalke could become GM of the year for the 2nd time.

You realize that Paraag isn't making the calls on who to sign, right? The FO is saying "Were extending Ford. Come up with something that makes sense for his market." Remember the Kaepernick contract? Somehow he worked it so we could get out every offseason, which saved us who knows how much money. The industry even refers to that strategy now. Agents negotiating contracts will tell teams "Were not doing a Kaepernick deal."
