18th in points per game
You know I wasn't gonna say anything but you say this, and forget these parts:
1. You say now it's a team game so how come you don't say that when people just bash one position and player? Mostly smith.
2. Gore and Vd went to the pro bowl with the sane rankings above, but it's ok for them to get praises?
Where's the rationale in that brotha?
1. Because saying it is a team game really goes without saying, we don't say that in every post in a focused discussion of one player. But we all know it.
2. Pro Bowl selections are players that people think are the the best in their respective positions. Smith is not one of the best players in his positon, and that is pretty obvious without trying to get cute or creative in the arguments.
Ultimately why I brought team statistics up as a discussion point is that the OP implies Smith is better than the team around him. Personally I think Smith (or any QB) being one of the most key players in an offense success or failure, it is not realistic to have a huge disparity in QB ranking over every other offensive statistic ranking..unless we can point to a lot of major personnel issues besides QB. But this is a team that has some talent, and a few weak spots still. But it is not like a few years back where there was really nothing to work with. This is not a bash Smith comment, but just a let's get real comment. The discussion goes round & round forever here, and I have never seen a compelling argument that makes me think Smith is
apart from the struggles of the offense instead of
part of the offesnive struggles.
