Did anyone else notice how both offense and defensive players were crediting Mike Shanahan through the whole segment? They didn't aknowledge Seifert once. Why didn't Shanahan take over as coach after Serifert, I'll never know.

Shanahan left following that season. If only he could've waited a little while longer, 2 years, who knows.
49ers won the Super Bowl twice that year. I'll never forget that day. That first quarter felt like a dream and i felt like I was going to wake up any minute. I lost my voice for a month after that game.
Wow memories!!!! I remember bein 12 also and I had my best friend over who just so happend to be a cowboy fan. (why I dont know) I remember just rubbin that sh*t all in his face runnin around goin CRAZY!!! Man those were the days...too bad took those times for granted.
That's one I'll NEVER forget - SWEET REDEMPTION!!!!!!!!!!! I remember all 5 very well but that game is definitely one of the all time highlights!!!!! THANKS so much for posting that!! Memories........

They owned us in the 70's, we owned them in the 80's, they kinda owned us in the 90's, till that game of course. Since then, they have been there, we have been MIA. There is no other game that compares to a Niner/Cowboy NFC championship game. When will we see one again?

REVENGE was never so sweet than it was that day...
I was 18 and had already signed the papers to go to basic training. I would leave for basic just a couple weeks after the Super Bowl. Back then I viewed the game as revenge for the Niners, but really this was a redemption game for Steve Young. He played, as did all the Niners, outstanding football that day.
That brings back memories. I loved that leading up to that game James Washington said if Steve Young Takes off running the ball they were going to lay him out and Steve ended up running right into him to score the Touchdown.
