This is pretty sad and come on Crabtree you missed 5 games you shouldn't be on this list.

I agree, let't take the good with the bad. He has more TD's than drops. sounds good to me.
VD needs to stop jumping because he usually falls short, if he would catch the ball in stride most of those catches would end up TD"s.

I think Crab's drop against the Bears on the slant was the only "gimme" drop. All of his other ones weren't easy catches. Still, most were plays he should have made and I think he will make in the future.
Catching has a lot to do with concentration. This is one area that holding out affects his game I think. Having to cram the weekly gameplan without a full understanding of the offense may be affecting his concentration on other things. He has to spend too much time thinking about his assignment that it could be affecting his concentration on the actual execution of the play.
Just a theory...

Crabs already has 7 drops
Where did you get this stat? I want to go see how many attempts these dropped passes are out of. (drops/pass attempt) Thats the important number.

So I guess the real question is How many times have each of those that lead the league been thrown to Including the incompletions that flew over their heads. I am sure one of you stat geeks (sorry about using your name in vain Geek) can put this together for us.

It doesn't surprise me that Crabtree has 7 drops. He seems to drop at least one ball a game. I am actually surprised that VD only has 9 drops throughout the season, I thought it would have been more, although he did seem more sure-handed earlier in the season. As for him jumping when he catches the ball, it does have one advantage - it puts his head well above the defender's - so he doesn't have to worry about a concussion. Considering that VD hasn't missed a game, I am not complaining about him jumping so much.

He may be tied atop the NFL but I think he more than makes up with those drops with TD's. I mean seriously, when was the last time a 9er TE lead the league in TD's????? As for Crabby, he's still a rookie so give him a break.
