"• Just when I thought we could start to re-bury 49ers quarterback Alex Smith, he throws three second-half touchdown passes and nearly brings San Francisco all the way back from a 30-10 fourth-quarter deficit at Lambeau Field. OK. Let's put down the shovel for at least another week.""
sounds like a zoner who is just waiting for a reason to shiit allover Alex's play.
It's not the QB regardless of who it is . It's the stupid play calling and lackluster protection .

Until the coach's stop being stubborn idiots and put Alex in the spread which is not only his strength but it's the formation that works best for the this O we cannot and should not bury Smith. He's our best QB for this season and still only 25 years old and our former #1 pick.
We just dropped to 4-6 and probably will not make the playoffs we must let him run the spread and see if he can be the guy.

Not only that, it is probably the best offense for the Niners emerging stars such as Davis and Crabtree.

He shows you just enough to keep you wanting more. On KNBR they were calling him Steve Deberg.

Simply put, Alex is the only QB on the roster built to lead us back from any deficits we incur in games.
Raye needs to actually incorporate some WELL-DESIGNED run plays -- Not this HB and FB dive Madden bull crap -- but sadly, I feel that's too much to ask. Because without well-designed running plays, we won't be able to run because our line can neither block well enough for Gore consistently, nor can they pass block at all for Alex.
Gosh I can't wait for Staley and Clements to be back. (Hopefully they aren't rusty..)

Very unlikely we are going to make the playoffs. So Raye needs to incorporate the spread into the offense to see what Alex can do with Crabtree and Davis. Do these three along with Gore have a future together? There is nothing to lose at this point. Maybe run some rollouts and bootlegs to keep the defense guessing. The offensive line needs to be rebuilt because they can't get a push. There is no power running that can be sustained behind that line.

Alex Smith reminds me of what Bill Walsh once said about Steve Deberg: "he's just good enough to get you beat." That is what we have at QB.

THIS; is true.
Walsh said it best, "He plays just well enough to lose the game."
If Sing can't get that cu*t Raye to use the spread at the beginning of the game then it will be more miserable than it is now, for sure.
What there is of the Oline, blocks better, and the WR &TE get open more in that formation. To me the rest of this lost season will be a test to see if Sing can, will, adapt to what the team can do best instead of continually trying to hammer round pegs in square holes and then throwing his arms up in the air when nothing works, then going with what does.
Lamest coaching I've seen sine, well... Nolan and Hos..

We don't know what David can do yet.
If the wanking Niner front office doesn't draft a good looking QB with one of it's 1st round picks, we are doomed to this kind of play till sh*t turns to gold..
