What a waste of a pick. We could've had DeSean Jackson. We could've had Crabtree AND DeSaun Jackson. That would've allowed us to cut 2 or 3 other WRs that are taking up roster spots, which would've made us have some open roster spots, meaning that Allen Rossum would still be our punt returner, meaning that Nate Clements would still be our cornerback, also meaning that Battle wouldn't have fumbled that ball against the Texans, meaning that there's a good chance we'd be 5-4 right now instead of 4-5, putting us on pace to go 10-6 instead of 9-7, putting us in the playoffs instead of having another season end in December.
All because of one stupid draft pick.

He won't make a difference at this point the way Smith, Franklin, and Soap are playing.
He was a reach anyway in the draft.
*cough cough* Desean Jackson *cough*
Damn did you have to bring it up
deep breathe. just think of the chargers.
they couldve kept Drew Brees, and instead of drafting Rivers, picked Larry Fitzgerald. and if theyd have let LT go and kept Turner....
thats Brees, Turner, Fitzgerald, V.Jackson, Gates on your offense.
that always makes me feel better about our mistakes.

who is kentwan balmer ? is he on our team ? making some contribution i wouldn't be aware of ?

His numbers dont look great, but you have to look at the Backers behind him and how many tackles they make and where, while he is in the game. In that respect I think he has played solid along with the reset of our D line. He is in rotation with a very good front.

We could've kept Rossum even without drafting DeSean Jackson. Your have very fuzzy logic my friend.

I watched the whole game thursday, I was frustrated. I do remember balmer not being an all star but he made some plays thursday, and really when franklin leaves I dont think we will hurt that much....I think balmer will be able to step right in his position and do w/e. Also, I think they'll move ricky jean to defensive tackle. I think those two could provide some push up the middle. They seem to handle they're assignments rather well... They aren't hurting us obviously because we have the #2 run defense in the league. Lord help us over the top though...

we should've gotten rid of either spurlock or battle. That doesn't change with or without jackson.

If we had Jackson, I doubt we go into the season with 7 WRs. Anyway, we don't have Jackson, we have Balmer.

a nice chunk of change? 1.5 mil this year and 991,000 next season, wayyy to much money.
Demetric Evans makes more than him yet i dont hear whining about his lack of production. Balmer gets 10-15 snaps a game, he is a solid backup and production does not fall off when he is in the game.

That, to me, is a problem. I didn't know you draft 1st-rounders to be solid backups.

Who exactly deserves to lose playing time so Balmer can play more? Our front 3 have been excellent this year, so I have no problem with Balmer as a back up at this point
