Hey, Morgan is good, I just think he's having a bad season. there was a play he made earlier in the season that got called back that was pretty impressive. Be patient with this one.

You cant tell by off the field personality. Roger Craig was a silly giggly dude away from the field, even in practice. But when the game was on he was like a lion. What I'm not seeing in Morgan on the field at the moment is that switch. We've seen it early on but not this year in full.

Man the tide turns quickly in the zone! Morgan is a raw talented wideout. That was easily seen last year and its not like he is going to be polished now in an offence that was built to run. People expect too much of the kid too soon.
My opinion is that he will grow into his role. You wont see real dividend until his 3 year.

Seriously. Would there be so many people in the webzone hating on him (that's what most are doing) if he hadn't looked promising last year? Bottom line is he's a 6th round draft pick that missed a lot of his first season, including camp, and is barely at the half way point in his second season. It's not really time to be so down on the guy and even if it does come to that point he was just a 6th round pick, it's not like he's supposed to be a world beater.

It takes a few steps but I think it goes like this:
1) Jerry Sullivan fills his head with crap!
2) Jimmy Raye digs up some plays from the 1960s
3) Chilo Rachel or some other fat slob playing guard gives up pressure up the gut
4) Some career back up or some soon to be career back up QB flings either a lame duck, or a last minute bullet.
5) The DB makes a play!

I expected greater things fromhim, but am beginning to realize that he did come out of college raw. He is getting called for penalties, is not making big catches, and is dropping passes. I am thinking next year will be his year, and if not, no worries because he sure didn't cost much. A great example is miles austin in dallas, isn't he just barely showing up this year, and its his third year.
The thing that bothers me most about morgan is his penalties

Martz system made him look good! He wanted Morgan!
Different system = different results/realistic results

Same, I thought he'd be our breakout player but now all i see is a guy with suspect motivation.

There needs to be consistency in the offense for anyone to hit their stride. QB, WR, RB, OL. Even Gore has been up and down this year.

Yes, we overrated him, but I'm starting tio think the problem is in his head and heart, and not his hands and feet. And, you can't blame the QB as some have suggested. After all, the same QB is throwing to Vernon, Crabtree and now Hill. Morgan is seriously underachieving and needs to be benched to get the message across and to give Jones an opportunity.

I think with all the "Potential" talk last season and through the off season, he kinda settled with it and lost his work ethic. Because I felt he gave up on plays this year.

So are you saying he'd be good on a good team?
