Battle and Jason Hill are way better than bruce right now. i still dont understand why the coaching staff is hating on Jason Hill, he was our best receiver last year when they actually let him play. bruce can take his slow ass, s**tty hands back to st louis

After 2 games I give him a B. Once he takes it to the house or catches it in the end zone, he gets an A.

Those aren't superstar numbers and he hasn't had any explosive 70 yard catch and runs, truck-sticking strong safeties (which he will), but that's solid production for a rookie that missed all of training camp.
His average is 68 yards per game and if you translate that to a 16 game season... 1100 yards receiving. Of course, that's a poor estimate with only two games under his belt, but it's a nice thought... coupled with the fact that he's continuing to learn the offense and we're transitioning to be a more passing team, I think his numbers will go up... I think he'll have some nice production this season.
I'm curious though how teams are playing him. Has he run into any double-coverages yet? Some of his catches have been on out and curl routes, while he's had a few over the middle.
I think they are. Have you looked up the WR over in Oakland stats'? For the short time Crabs has been with us...that's outstanding numbers to me. Defenses need to start paying attention to the kid and its only his second game.

Here in Ohio, Browns fans are beginning to see Crabtree's performance, and steaming even more over Mangini's "diva" comment, as a cover to not draft him. They are ready to throw Mangini out at the end of the year, and start over, bitter that they do not have number 15.

crabtree will have his day vs tennessee, smith will find crabtree multiple times and crabtree will completely destroy their weak ass secondary, after we run up the middle 30 or 40 times and are trailing by a couple TD's thanks to Raytard and Singletary...

He did make 2 costly mistakes today, the fumble and the tip that resulted in the INT he should have let go and that ball would have fell incomplete. he also had a drop but overall looks very good and has far exceeded my expectations for his 1st 2 games.
The play where he tipped it and got picked off would have been a really tough catch. Im not sure why the announcers said Smith threw it perfectly and pretty much put all the blame on Crabtree.

Everything you hear about him coming out of Texas Tech (and not just Leach) disputes any notion of Crabtree being a "diva."
