We should have paid Crabtree what he demanded in July

We'd be way better than 3-3 if he started the first five games.

That along with starting a healthy Alex Smith in week 1 would have been nice.

Yeah VD isn't doing anything out there. Alex didn't play well. Morgan didn't do anything.
Sure lets pay every player top 3 money when they were drafted #10. Great idea.

That's not what I said. Obviously the NFL rookie system is screwed up.
But for Michael Crabtree, I think we should have made an exception and broken slot.

Really?! And just throw away an extra 5 million a year in cap space, not to mention all future bargaining power with first round picks (of which we have two of in this coming draft)...
I guess there are some people that really would make worse gm's than Scott McCloughan

Why?
Do you actually think that Crabtree would have helped this team win against the Vikes or the Falcons? (Vikes was a Favre fluke...which he is known for) and Falcons D-stroyed us!

Not signing Michael Crabtree on time could be the difference between the Niners barely missing the playoffs this year instead of making the playoffs.
49er wide receivers have caught 1 touchdown pass in the first six games.

That is a heck of a word to use...
Drafting Aaron Rodgers could have made this team solid by now.
You see...no one knows for sure. This team has MANY issues it needs to clean up...and quick if they want to see the post season.

Fortunately, we have an easy schedule.

They guy had a little over 50 yards in one game. Don't get carried away. He's not going to the Hall of Fame yet...
As big or in fact MUCH BIGGER of a DEVELOPMENT is the progress of VD. He's improved big time and that was happening without Crabtree. He's bigger for our offense right now.
Also a QB who can throw greater than a 7 yard pass helps.
