Smith played against a better defense and was also playing from behind, yet still got comparable #'s IN ONE HALF....
For him to continue success and for the Niners to get wins the O-line has to be shored up...we've found our QB.

You forget that Ryan Grant had a great game on the ground to complement Rogers's performance.

Packers had the luxury of being able to run (had a lead, Browns suck)....Niners didn't.
If Smith would've played the whole game, maybe, coulda, shoulda Gore runs more and Smith's stats are different, but what he did do hopefully opens the eyes of the coaching staff to what this team can do and they take serious note

We need to let this go.
Of course we should have drafted Rodgers, but it's done. It's four years later. Time to let it go.

Who was that dude on the webzone who said he had a dream where he saw Alex Smith starting against the Packers (and it was billed as the "showdown between the 2005 Draft QBs")?
Premonition might come true...
