Battle wasn't any better today. Spurlock would be serviceable but I don't think he's a real breakaway threat. I'd like to see Sheets brought up and see what he can do.

It will be interesting to hear Singletary's explanation.
I know both Jones and Jason Hill were active today.
Did Spurlock suit up for the game?

Well it's about time. Rossum is finished.

So you want an undrafted rookie who's never played an NFL down to take over our return game?

its about damn time...Although I wish we had someone better to replace him with.
Rossum sucks, hopefully this will make the fan boys get off his nuts. probably not though.
Anyway, there are plenty of players on the team who could take over KR and PR. And if we sign crabtree, (we most likely wont) we wont have to cut j. hill.

Rossum is washed up but at least he can catch the punt, Battle can't and he sucks when he does. This is a major weakness for us right now.

As for Battle, he hasn't had the entire off season, training camp, and first 3 weeks of the season practicing as a punt returner. He will be better next week.
If Battle gets another chance next week, he will do better. There was some pretty bad winds today that caused those muffs as well. Battle hasn't returned punts in a while.

I hear ya, I noticed Rossum just didn't have after the 1st week as well as he had some space and just couldn't hit the seams. After week 2 and 3 it was pretty obvious. The question is do we cut because he is taking up a roster space as just a PR-KR or do we put him back in after Battle struggled? I would give Spurlock a chance next week....

Wouldn't be surprised if Spurlock got a shot next week.
There's something we've haven't drafted specifically in years - a kick returner. Haven't had a true threat in that position in years. Food for thought.

Should we call the Browns about Cribbs?
I think the Bills have Roscoe Parrish on the block.

Put Rossum back on the field, he is our best return man by far.
