I agree. This would be the move.

It is not a good idea to have a guy who relies on his quickness and speed taking hits on his legs returning punts. Clements is too valuable in the secondary to take a chance on returning punts.

I don't know why Rossum was cut. That one is strange.
he's injured lol

It wouldn't be the first time that a premiere CB handled return duties. I wouldn't be against him doing it.
I have no problem w/Rossum being cut...he wasn't getting it done. He hasn't done anything for Dallas, either, now he's hurt. Agree, Battle's not the answer to return punts...Clements could do it, but do you really want your top CB to take those hits...I'm thinking not. Here's a better option: trade for Joshua Cribbs. The Browns aren't going anywhere...and should be willing to deal some players for picks. Given we've got two 1st rounders, we could afford to lose a 2nd rounder or maybe even a 3rd rounder. There's also a good chance we'll get another high pick for the Jets tampering...even more reason to use one of 'em to get a guy like Cribbs.
How about we try one of the 20 WRs we have? Have one of those guys suit up and try it out.

I would like to know the whole story too.

I think I read somewhere that it might have been because the only time he's on the field is to receive KOs and punts, and not when we kick off and punt, so basically half of the ST plays

Rossum is in Dallas right now laughing his ass off because if he were still on the 49ers they would have won the game today. Thank you Arnaz Battle for being so terrible. I wish they would have cut your useless ass and kept Rossum!

we cut Rossum because he's only a KR taking up a roster spot. why isn't Spurlock returning kicks???????

Okay the lack of thought on this is getting on my nerves.

Spurlock is a scrub. Period. What EXACTLY has he done since he was kept on the 53 man roster, other than attempt to run the Tazer?!?

He SHOULD have been cut. But okay I see there MIGHT be some value to this team.

What not even a week and Ulbrich is on the IR. Did that NOT happen before the deadline to cut the roster down? Pretty sure that it did. At the very least Ulbrich could have been added to the PUP list and walla we lose NOONE.

Partly agree. Rossum was sure handed and if not for a BS block in the back penalty he would have had 2 returns in consecutive years for TD's. That doesn't happen too often. He's no Hester or Cribbs but you weren't holding your breath on a punt return.

Come on after Battle muffed, did you not get a little scared when Houston punted to us again? As we were making a comenback?

Where I agree is with the Cribbs trade. That would be an excellent move.
spurlock should handle the duties of both KR and PR. There's gotta be a reason he hasn't been doing it. Probably drops too many in practice. What other reason is he on the roster??

A lot of the personel decisions have not made sense to me.

He's our Tazer Specialist. That's more important than KR/PR duty. ...
