Agree.

Yeah, everytime I saw him stutter step, or try to cut back by running backwards to try to get away, I yelled at the TV.

This is the NFL, not College. You've got to have absolute elite speed and/or moves to pull that off. He doesn't have it. He needs to get upfield.

But then, once a game, he makes it work and makes ONE decent return, and gets a week long reprive from the inevitable.
Didn't he have a TD called back against the cardinals early on?
He needs to get his groove back & better blocking on special teams.

Mhmm.
You can't just change your return man...he doesn't fumble which is the MAIN thing. Who's gonna take his place? Spurlock? Battle? I don't have confidence that either can do a better job and who knows how good their hands are...
Allen Rossum blows! I started a thread in the preseason stating that he should be cut so we could keep an extra WR (unknowing of Crabtrees mess/Jones injury at the time) and i got BLASTED for it! It's stupid to keep a specialist if he isn't dominate as a KR IMO. When he straight up sucks like Rossum has this year they need to cut him.
People who can return kicks:
D.Walker-KR
A.Battle-PR
Spurlock-PR/KR
Clements-PR
Sheets-PR

5 guys that can return kicks and we keep a specialist why?

comon, Rossum is less likely to fumble than all those guys.
Walker and Battle will not take it all the way like Rossum still can.
Spurlock maybe in time a possibility.
Clements? really? Think its probably best to let him worry about the other teams WR's and not about returning kicks.
Sheets has the speed but wouldnt he be basically a specialist as well. He gets no carries with gore, coffee, and robinson ahead of him at RB.

The team does not have a better option right now on the roster period.

Yup!
he just kept dropping his returns and not paying attention it seemed. He hardly has the speed needed to go all the way and I would say it's time for someone new.
