Receptions... no, but Josh was making some critical blocks which opened up a lot of real estate for Gore. Josh threw a Safety out of Gore's way on either the 79/80 yard run to close the deal for the TD.

hilarious. all hill does is win games and people are complaining.
you know what the difference in conversation about smith vs. hill is? people make excuses as to why hill wins, and they make excuses for why alex smith loses.
i think we would be 1-1 or 0-2 with alex smith behind center in the first 2 games. people complain about hills pocket presence well you might want to take a look at how many fumbles + int's alex smith has in his career.
we aren't going to light it up in the air WITH ANY QB ON OUR ROSTER at this point. now hill brings something important to the table: he moves the chains and he doesn't turn the ball over. now you can come up with any excuse you want as to WHY this is, but the bottom line is hill gets the job done in whatever role he is asked to play
he has drove the team down for wins THROUGH THE AIR in two of our last 3 games; today he watched frank do his thing and gave us an efficient performance in the air.
anyhow, morgan looked pretty good blocking today. i saw him open a couple times but thats just the way the cookie crumbles.
2-0 boyeeeeeeeee!

Wait, all we are saying is that it would be nice to see josh get some throws from hill, and now we are making excuses for why he wins? wtf? i thought he did a good job for the most part, but to be honest with you watching him sometimes he does make me nervous. there will be games where he WILL need to make a tough throw to morgan, or manipulate a defense with a punp fake. some of it could be that hes not fully farmilliar with the system yet, or whatever, but i saw him make tough throws and spread the ball around last season and ffs i want to see it this year when guys are getting open.

i agree i want the ball in morgans hands more. it will happen in time. we didn't need him today. infact, we didn't need much beyond gore. lets talk when the run game is completely shut down and see how hill responds....
oh wait, that happened in week 1

I agree man, I am almost ready to see Smith back in there, he could easily do what Shaun is doing, plus he can throw it down the field when the receivers are open. Hill just lacks confidence in his own passing arm, maybe with good reason.
DAMN U ARE ON A GOOD ONE TODAY BUD!!!!!!
Smith cant do anything right but hold the clipboard for Hill.
Yeah he might be able to launch it way farther then Hill but his passes like Jamarcus Russell will sail out of bounds.
9-3 as a starter (Hill)
should speak for itself.
he just wins even if its ugly he gets that job done!!!

yeah and i gave him props for doing that last week. but last week is last week. i honestly wonder if all the game manager role is too much in his comfort zone. i dont want to see the guy leave points in the red zone. when we have a chance to step on a teams throat we need to do it because games like minnesota wont be this easy.

my thoughts exactly.
BTW - with a the win, I won a bet with my friend (a seahawks fan). The bet? he'll be looking like a sexy mutha f!#@kah in a red #52 jersey next sunday. He's about 250 lbs. and I'm 160, it's gonna be a tight one...lol.

i agree i want 6 on the board too and we need to work on our redzone but it's not all hill. there are times where he's taking sacks and that is a GOOD thing Vs. a turnover.

I dunno, i almost want to blame it on the lack of experience with this offense but i would still like to see josh get the ball more. i know last year shaun looked a lot more decisive, but he had 2 months to learn the system after tc and at the same time martz's system was sort of pre determined who was the number one option because with all the different recievers he found a way to clear out space for a certain guy, or get a mismatch, im not sure raye knows how to do that. and we didnt run too many slants last year, but i havent noticed any slants this year. i think josh could get open and get yac if we had him run some slants, because shaun is good at placing the ball where the reciever can get it. it just bothered me that josh wasnt even targeted once today, because he can have a breakout year imo and he gets open. but i guess with bruce being a posession wr and great route running hes more of a safety blanket for shaun.

You probably saw Josh Morgan's(notes) touchdown and the other one that got away (he dropped a perfectly-thrown Shaun Hill(notes) bomb), but there's a less prominent Morgan moment that I can't seem to forget. Vernon Davis(notes) scored a second-half TD for the Niners, a spectacular catch, and on the play you can see Morgan in the foreground, stopping his route and showing no emotion as his teammate scores and the officials make the signal. Maybe body language tends to be overrated, but that's not the kind of guy I want in my huddle.
Don't know if anyone saw this Morgan Unhappy

As the season progresses, I am becoming less supportive of Morgan. He is just not really showing much to think he is any better than any of the other WRs we have had in the last few years. Boy, I hope I am wrong!

Stop the Morgan bashing. He is a nice big target with a lot of potential. What do you expect of him in this offense. Guarantee you no receiver gets more than 65 catches and 1,000 yards on our team.

Well they ran the same TD play against Minn, he was probably anticipating the TD already
