I can only imagine the conversation Damon had to endure when he was released:

No team in their right mind would trade for Huard especially after what they saw from Davis.

Damon Huard isn't even worth a slice of welfare cheese.

Good new for Nate. Glad he's the 3rd stringer; felt he earned it with his play.

And I'm glad the 9ers let Huard go before the final cuts next week. This way he may be able to latch on with another team. Good move all around.

They must really like and feel comfortable with Nate Davis as the #3 and Alex Smith must be healthy and ready to play against San Diego.

Can you imagine the reaction on these boards if Davis plays poorly against San Diego?? Let's hope he keeps up the momentum.

I agree with you. Most of the people on these boards who are cheering for Davis now would turn on him in an instant.

Glad to see Davis take the #3 QB spot. Too bad we couldn't trade Huard for a late round pick.

He's on the team, everybody knew he would be on this team, and he will be the back up.

Nomatter how many times you guys cry about wanting him off the team on this board its not gonna happen this year. And it is extremely likely that he will start at some point this season.

You guys just need to find a way to deal with it and stop crying about it. The season starts in two weeks and SMITH'S NOT GOING ANYWHERE!
