See, that's just negativity for sake of negativity. You have no possible way of knowing that Dre Bly and Marvel Smith would still be unemployed right now if the Niners didn't pick them up. You're just speculating like anyone else and your opinion doesn't seem particularly well-informed.
Here we go again!

Now obvioudly you are right I have no idea if he would still be a free agent now or not but.

The 32-year-old Bly received no interest on the free agent market, but the Niners were desperate after Walt Harris went down with a torn ACL
I never said Marvel Smith would still be there. What i implied for him was if he was such a key piece other teams would have lined up to snag him.

OK, fine. I see your point. But, you still do not know that Dre Bly wouldn't have been picked up. His status at the time probably had something to do with the money he was asking for. I would have been astonished if Bly DIDN'T find a job in the NFL. I really like Walt Harris, but look at Bly - he's a ball-hawk; he takes chances and sometimes gets burned; but in this system, he'll very seldom have single responsibility - that's Clements. I think we were lucky to get him when Harris went down. We'll see.

"Same with Marvel Smith"
and
"I never said Marvel Smith would still be there."
Which is it? Same with Smith or I never said he would be there?

If we start winning more than losing that will change. Respect has to be earned on the field and based on the past 5 seasons, it's no surprise that we get no respect.

This is the year people remember who the 49ers are.
Chill out.. If we win the division or make the playoffs and still have a low ranking then I can see a respect issue. but till then we are who they thought we are
Haha great quote, and I agree. Until you make the playoffs it really doesn't matter imo if you are #23 or #27, either way aren't in the top half of the league.
I also think having a good half season under Singletary isn't enough to erase the mess the team has been in over the last half decade.

Great non-answer, Krizay! Shows your age and level of maturity. Thanks. Now I know what I'm dealing with here.

I may be completely retarded, but I cannot find this on the NFL.com website. Can someone post a link?

I just dont get how teams that we beat are ahead of us, its not difficult.
There are even teams that had worse records then us last year placed ahead of us, again, something like that = no respect.

Just like what you said we have to earn respect in the league...it sucks that were that low in the power rankings when we're all used to being the top 3 back in the days...but what we know about our team that none of the others would want to acknowledge is that we actually have the best talented group of players that we've had in years...i know i keep saying this is the year we're going to the playoffs but it isn't as far fetched as the other 3 years....KEEP HOPE ALIVE WE HAVE A CHANCE FELLAS....GO NINERS

I answered you. Then you quote the post in which I answered you. Then ask basically the same question when the answer is right above you.
