He also did not rule out picking a qb at #1 in the draft if they were "blown away." Probably trying to drum up interest for a trade but you shouldn't have to if you know multiple teams want a top pick for a qb this year and you are confident about your qb.

B. If teams want to trade into #1 to get Bryce Young, they better be bringing their A offers to the table.

Exactly. The Bears have to make it seem like they will draft a QB. The value of the pick plummets if everyone knows they are passing on a QB.

They have a pretty good young defense, but their offense is bad right now. They've traded away their best two weapons by far. OL is not good either.

This was a mistake by them imo.

How many Bears QBs have lit up the TD department in a season?

Nothing wrong with passer hoping he gets to play in more favorable passing weather as his career goes forward. Doesn't make him soft at all.

IMO, the Bears didnt get even close to the haul they should have for the #1 overall pick. They got the #9 pick, a late 2nd, next year's 1st, the following year's 2nd and DJ Moore.

For the #3 pick, the Dolphins got the #12 pick, two first rounders and a third rounder......a better haul than what the Bears got for the #1 IMO.

And look at what the Rams got for the #2 pick (RGIII trade)....#6 overall, two 1st rounders and two 2nd rounders.

Based on the history of trading a top 3 pick, I think the Bears didnt get enough.

CHI openly was saying they will take reasonable offers.. that was GM speak for we want out of this spot; give us something in the ballpark

I agree, but if somehow if they hit on their franchise qb I think it will be easier for them to find weapons/OL. Time will tell if their QB turns out to be good or not though.

In the last two seasons, quarterbacks have topped my rankings, and much like last year's top 10, three quarterbacks made my list this time around.

Too bad he can't throw accurately, go through his reads and he holds the ball too long. He is a turnover machine. But hey, he's a great running back
