Double standards. Women can scream, kick, punch, shove any man but as soon as we push them away from causing further physical harm, "He attacked me. I'm calling the police." Also, if the man calls the cops on the women they get laughed at because they cannot control the situation.

He should have just said she attacked him and also filed a DV claim. If there were no signs of injury and it was just his word against hers he could've dispelled it better with his own claim.
No charges, yet... i think he was recognizing that the thread was starting to drift off topic and become potentially explosive because a controversial political/cultural buzzword was introduced

Oh sheesh, thank god. He needs to play as long as whatever the incident is, was very minor or non existent as been speculated. We definitely don't need that distraction at this point.

He's being charged?

No. Was getting ready for thread derailment based on the posts above mine.

Stretching that time out finger.
Someone mentioned it earlier, but everyone made assumptions about Ray McDonald's off the field and I was told by someone who was around the players that he was innocent of what he was accused of.

I don't know for sure that he was, obviously, but you never really know.

I think Charles should play. But I understand believing he shouldn't.

Based on what? He should sit because he was accused? Its bad enough that any woman can call the police on a man and have him arrested without any evidence. For him to get essentially suspended from work based on heresay would be ridiculous.

You're preaching to the choir. I said I understand, never said I agree.
If Alvin Kamara can play 17 games after assaulting someone on camera then Charles can play after pushing someone.

well this DV situation sure did diffuse, doesn't seem like it has been a distraction at all

I don't. There is no physical signs of injury. No witnesses. No evidence. No reason to no allow his play.

As an equivalence, if an accusation is enough, how about if a group of dubious people laid significant sums on the Niners to lose in 90/91, say. Then a week before he game they got a couple of women to claim Rice and Montana attacked them? It's just an example. But if you can take out key players from the opposition without evidence, matters spiral out of control very quickly.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough and you didn't read my Ray McDonald comment. I know first hand that even situations where players appear to be guilty that they may have another side of the story.

As for Charles, I agree there's not a lot of evidence or any evidence of guilt, but I understand the NFL is a business and if this was a week 3 game, I would understand Kyle sitting him a week. The NFC championship is a whole other story. I would not sit him.

McDonald is a terrible example. He was arrested three or four times and booted off two teams. Its clear that his issues went beyond just a crazy side piece.
