I'd hope we re-sign him. I think another team will offer him some more money, but maybe he wants to stay with Chris and his line. I hated on him for 4 years, but he's coming on. He saved our ass on that 4th down stop in the 2nd quarter.

He needs to walk. He hasn't nearly enough to be re signed

I don't know if he has any heart. He played better down the stretch because this is his contact year. I would expect him to miss lots of time in a multi year deal. But in reality, a player like we had in Ridgeway is better in the middle to anchor our run D.

He played well in the playoffs, but I think his spot is an easy upgrade through the draft or FA.
Niners need to add a body or two that can consistently eat doubles and help compress the pocket when needed. It shouldn't require too much resources.

I thought he improved this season BUT not enough.
Not enough to pay a guy w/'his injury history w/only on good season

I agree. Frankly he was wrecking shop on numerous occasions, and there were 3-4 plays where he collapsed the pocket and drew a hold that wasn't called.

He's played a lot better the last 2 games.
The jury is still out and this is his moment to win or lose.
Hope he wins.
I would rather spend that money on another big based body like Ridgeway from last year, or DJ who we had and went to Denver. We need a large immovable force down the middle.

I agree - he's NOT worth a big contract and I'd rather spend the $$ elsewhere.

He played just well enough to price himself out of the 49ers' range. He's Thomas 2.0. Honestly, I'd rather bring Thomas back on a much cheaper deal.

Thomas is/was a tweener. Not a good comparison. This dude is a true DT

His knees won't hold up. He has a degenerative condition. Never should have drafted him that high.
Let him walk. No pun intended.

Uh….thats why you don't give him a fat deal.
