Meanwhile, no one is touching Mel Kiper with a 10 foot poll...

Nobody is touching Louis Riddick either.
were we seriously interested in him before they hired lynch?

Not sure how serious we were, but yes.

I dont even know why anyone would consider Kiper.
Russell Wilson: DK Metcalf is "looking really, really special"

AP
The Seahawks may have gotten in 2019 a steal on par with the steal they got in 2012.
Seven years after landing quarterback Russell Wilson in round three (the Jaguars took a punter with Wilson still on the board), the Seahawks traded up to the bottom of round two to grab receiver DK Metcalf. Wilson really likes what he sees so far from the rookie.
"Well, it's great seeing DK make his plays," Wilson told reporters on Wednesday. "I think DK is looking really, really special. He can do anything and everything and he's tremendous."
Metcalf generated plenty of pre-draft buzz given his size, physique, and speed. But a history of injuries coupled with a reputation for having a limited route tree dragged him out of round one and almost into round three.
Coach Pete Carroll has no qualms about throwing rookies into the fray, as he did with Wilson. Given the absence of Doug Baldwin, the Seahawks have a need at the position, and Metcalf could fill it right away.

No pass rush in OTA. Can he get open before a real pass rush gets to the QB in a real game. Have to wait and see.

I hate to say it, but they probably just did that to satisfy the Rooney rule.

#Wilsonspeak (Notice how Jimmy G doesn't overhype his skill players in media interviews. He'd rather undersell and over-deliver than the opposite.)

Shoulder injury was Jonas Jennings specialty. Hope Williams isn't one.

MIAMI -- Dolphins defensive tackle Kendrick Norton had his arm amputated and remains hospitalized after a car crash in the Miami area early Thursday morning, his agent said.

Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Alex Camacho said the Ford F250 driven by the 22-year-old Norton crashed into a concrete barrier on State Road 836 near Miami. The truck overturned and came to a rest on its roof.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews rendered aid to Norton, who had severe injuries to his left arm and was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, where he remains.

"With sadness, I can confirm that Kendrick Norton was in a car accident last night and suffered multiple injuries, including the amputation of his arm," his agent Malki Kawa tweeted. "We ask that you continue to pray for him."

His medical status is not considered life-threatening. The Sun Sentinel reported that Norton is in critical condition.

"We were made aware this morning of a serious car accident involving Kendrick Norton," the Dolphins said in a statement Thursday. "Our thoughts and prayers are with Kendrick and his family during this time."

The Florida Highway Patrol said a second vehicle was involved in the crash and that the driver of the 2015 Maserati did not sustain any injuries.

Norton's coach at the University of Miami, Manny Diaz, sent out his prayers on Twitter on Thursday morning.

We were made aware this morning of a serious car accident involving Kendrick Norton. Our thoughts and prayers are with Kendrick and his family during this time.

Norton was selected in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL draft by the Carolina Panthers, and the Dolphins signed him off the Panthers' practice squad in December. He was expected to compete for a spot on the 53-man roster this season.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

It is crazy to see how quickly some guys lose their "football" weight once they get off the 5,000 calorie/day diet and hours in the weight room. Joe Thomas lost something like 45 pounds in less than three months. He looked more like a marathoner.

For the very quick transformations of guys like Thomas and Gronk, I'm guessing that they have the same dedication to getting the weight off as they had to keeping it on.

It wouldn't surprise me if they went from 5K to 1K calories and weightlifting to cardio all day with a flip of a switch.

These guys just don't have the same relationships with food and exercise that the rest of us do.
It's as easy as hopping off a bike.

I know some of you guys get it.
