I wouldn't cut him, I'd retain his rights and trade him. Someone out there will take a chance on him.

Right here:

Our luck he would become the best OL in the game for the next 10 years
Hard pass.
I probably have a bias and certainly like the kid... I don't think we give him a shot at all, but I would be happy if we did.

If the guy was right-minded, he may have been an hall of fame player. Dominant.

Alas, he's a weirdo who would poison the room.

cc forgot to say he could care less where this piece of crap lands at
They couldn't get anything for him?

probably didn't even try. just tired of dealing with it I'm sure. Now some team is going to get an All Pro OT for basically nothing.

WAS a good player.. I just hated the fact that he was not being a true man enough to ask for a trade or just freakin say that he did not want to be a 49er... we could have granted his wish and sent him to New England..

Who knows, had he gone that way, maybe, just maybe, he woulda have been the highest paid OT right now at Oakland instead of The Big Earth !!!
Good.

I doubt Shanalynch even bothered to meet him. They never have, to my knowledge, so why would they now?

As I said earlier in the thread:

Shanalynch have no ties to this guy, so I expect them to probably just cut him outright. If anything they'll ask Staley about him, and when Joe gives them the thumbs down he'll be let go.

Guy will sign with the Patriots and help them repeat.
