Would McCarthy make a good GM?

Probably about as good as Mike Holmgren did.
no
McCarthy not gonna be an alternative job / minor role coach. He has enough credentials to be hired as HC and likely choose the better fit on his system such as CLE, DEN,CAR or TB.
Who knows...I've never heard his name mentioned in that light. Just a comment WRT Lynch...when you consider only a handful of players on the roster when he & Lynch took over are still there, it's very hard to critique him. Like any new GM, he's made some mistakes. He's also acquired Garoppolo, Kittle, Mullens, Breida, McGlinchey, Richburg, Person, Tomlinson, Pettis, Sherman, Juszczyk, Day, Goodwin, Gould, Mitchell, Moore, Harris, Warner, Thomas, et al. That's a lot of heavy lifting for any new GM.

Absolute Truth!
I think he could end up in Denver as HC.

That's a good point.
Why? He picked Alex Smith over Rodgers when he was w niners.

Walked into Rodgers in GB

One of the reasons that Nolan took Smith was that McCarthy was all in on him.

Well he liked Rodgers enough to go to GB too. We know Nolan was turned off by AR's attitude.
Is this a serious thing? lol good lord.
McCarthy isn't a great coach, he was solid but had Aaron Rodgers. Lol without Rodgers his teams didn't do a damn thing.
