WR Dante "Do something...anything" Pettis (claimed NYG)

Start him at RB, we need him....bwa ha ha.
I'd love to get the true scoop on what happened. If he was a zero his rookie year then I would understand. But this guy wasn't a zero as a rookie, and he didn't get injured. So how does someone fall so far so fast? And why did Kyle or Lynch talk him up before the season began if he wasn't going to see the field?

I still suspect that he could play on a team that actually throws to WRs.

Here's the scoop: Pettis grabbed Jimmy's ball sack and tried to kiss him. Jimmy told him to f**k off and now Shanahan is between a rock and a hard place. Lol

I usually take Grant Coen with a grain of salt but he was saying the same thing. Dante simply isn't a good fit for this team. He runs better intermediate patterns which isn't Jimmy's strength. So much of what Dante excels at, doesn't jive with Jimmy's style.

Dante runs a nice sideline pattern and has some neat double moves but doesn't excel at going over the middle nor does he excel at blocking.

In many ways, it's our loss. Wasted a very high draft pick that doesn't fit in to our scheme.

There is no way that is true. If Pettis really could ball, Shanahan would find a way to use him. Pettis is just a p***y. There is no other way to say it.

Its probably a small part of it. More then anything it's Dante himself though. He was supposed to be a ridiculous punt returner out of college and he's been absolutely atrocious at it in the NFL. Thats on him. Jimmy and Kyle can't be blamed for that. So my gut tells me, more then anything, he just doesn't have what it takes to make it in the NFL.

Or at the very least, he needs a change of scenery. He'll never be a good player for the niners.

it truly is stunning

Trade him for a 2021 UDFA pick.
Bruce Miller has more receptions than Dante Pettis this year.
Almost a 1,000 pages talking about this kid
