When the Boys were on their run Irvine would come up with the catch in big games.

This easy. Its Troy Aikman. I have no clue how he made the HOF. Do you get into the HOF by winning 3 SBs? I guess because he wasn't that good considering he was the #1 overall pick.
6 season with under 60% completion percentage
0 all pro teams made
Most Tds thrown in a season 23
2 18 int seasons
Threw only 165 tds along with 141 ints
Most yards thrown in a season 3,445
7 seasons with under 3,000 yards passing
5 seasons with a Qb rating 80 or below
Averaged under 199 yards a game for his career
I think the argument saying he played in the run first era is irrelevant. Plenty of Qbs slang the rock all over the field in the early to late 90s. Jim Everret was slinging it for 4000 yards and 30tds back then. Some others. Marino, kelly, moon, young, rypien, favre, bledsoe, brunnell, george, elway.
Blows my mind that Troy Aikman is in the hall and Drew Bledsoe is not. Especially since Bledsoe didnt have the talent Aikman had around him for most his career. The Pats had a squad for a few years with Bledsoe but nothing like Aikman had.

If he didnt exist, it would be Aaron Rodgers. Constantly compared to Brady and Brees? please. Not even close to the same level.
